mineral extractor problem
my mineral extractor wont extract anything, the timer kept resetting everytime i reload my save files (i've waited for an entire day). and sometimes it even says "capacity reached" even though there's nothin inside the extractor. is this a bug or does a planet has limit on how much minerals u can get from it?

same thing here my extractors Gold, Silver, Acticated Indium have stopped working /storing mats. Luckily I have almost no use for money and nanites anymore

Curious if you went offline / changed system time to get Living Ship? I'm having the same issue.

i did, i've noticed some minerals such as activated indium is still working fine while my other farm with activated emeril and uranium are having this issue

I think in the end I pushed my game forward to the 29th or 3/1. I'm hoping after that everything works like usual. If not I'll probably just have to delete the farms and rebuild

I spent most of my day rebuilding my mineral/gas extractors & plant farms. Lesson learned lol

it seems the only way to fix this bug at the moment is just to rebuild your farm and ditch the old ones, messing with time breaks ur farm folks.

I'm actually getting a similar issue even though I haven't messed with system time. Only for me it's my oxygen gas extractor. It works by itself, but when hooked up to a supply pipe to a depot it breaks both depot and extractor.

I've sent in a bug report to Hello Games already.

For those of you who time traveled, does it make a difference if the bugged farms were already in place before you jumped, or after? While I haven't intentionally altered my system time, the working copper extractor I had on my base was built Saturday 3/6, and my bugged oxygen extractor was built today, 3/7, after my system time was adjusted automatically for Daylight Savings Time. I wonder if that's what broke ♥♥♥♥.

it's unclear at the moment what caused this bug, most of the time it was because players messed with their time and it sort of break the timer on the extractor (although i've found a thread posted around 2019 having the similiar bug, im guessing hello games is already aware of this issue). for now its best to start destroying the broken extractors and silos and start rebuilding them (you'll get your materials back, just have to replace them all over again).

Not had that issue but when I use the automated miners and take the resource from them it changes what its mining to a random element on the planet

I can confirm that if you set the time forward temporarily, if you just wait it should start working again.

I put my clock forward 2 days and my miners and plants stopped working. Instead of rebuilding everything, I just waited 2 days and they started working again.

Having this problem AGAIN! I have no mods. I never used the time forward exploit to get the living ship when got the error, but presume I got the error when the 'towns/communities DLC' came out. I used it then to escape a bug that had me locked in place. It "worked" for that problem but created many new ones.

I left the 'empty supply depots' ERROR and non functioning mineral extractors for a LONG time

hoping... the DEVS WOULD FIX THE KNOWN BUG.

THEY DID NOT.

So I eventually deleted the mining farms and rebuilt as folks here suggested. Huge pain. Whatever. It did work. Anything I rebuilt worked again.

But, it has started again.

With the new 'Time Loop' expedition, it has happened again. But further what I hadn't noticed before is that my plant farms are also not regrowing. (they are also evidently tied to this same bug).

So either the update time loop caused it again, or a power outage I had at my house this week may have caused it. I did not touch my system clock although a power outage might reset it.

In any case the bug has struck again and destroyed all my mineral farms and plant farms utility.

I have a 1000 hours in the game. It is one of my relaxation pleasures to play and just flit through space but if this bug isn't fixed soon, then I am finally gonna call it since I am not rebuilding everything again!

Has it happened to anyone else again? My local power outage? Or time loop folly?

I read about a possible solution. I am still testing but it makes sense.
If you pull up your scanner, you will notice the icons for the deposit are gone. It seems they expire. You have to rescan the deposit and they should start working again.

Edit, confirmed it worked for one of my sites but not the other. I just moved the extractor and moved it back for that one.
