Ship changed class after Portal

I was going through the Artemis quests, Went throuh the portal did all that stuff, had to run back to my ship, which is all good and dandy... but when I got there, My A class Fighter (19 slots) Had randomly switched to an A class Hauler. Problem with this, Model it randomly switched to, has the exact same slots and worth as my Fighter had,... I tried reloading and nothing happened, im stuck with this useless peice of crap ship worth hardly anything. All those upgrades and modules I installed are there, but the model and class of the ship changed completley... I want my Fighter back :( Is there anything I can do? Or is this just a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ glitch that im gunna have to spend all my money and nanites on getting a ship like the one I had?

Something similar happened to me.

I was doing the portal mission with a friend - after meeting with Atlas for the first time we were transported to another planet. As I load in, I go to the marker that shows where my ship is and it's visually identical to his own. I had a S-Class exotic. It now looks like a green explorer.

It's stats are identical, but its price has greatly decreased;

Thats exactly what happened to mine, it was identical to my boyfriends ship, He was laughing because he calls his ship the school bus, and was like "welcome to the school bus club" I was laughing, but i was super salty haha, I ended up trading it in and spending 5mil on a B class fighter, sucked cuz that was all my money but oh well haha

By the way, this exact bug is still happening TODAY. Friend and I were doing main story in multiplayer, passed this quest, and BOTH of our ships randomized. Even the names changed, but kept class, stats, and storage.

If this has happened to you, STOP, and exit the game. Use this guide to go back to a save file thats from before the glitch!!!

I was VERY lucky I had a save from an hour prior that saved my ship.

This just happened to me. I ended up with an exotic in place of my A-class explorer? It's now an A-class exotic with all of my same stuff. .-. Seems broken.

STILL NOT FIXED AS OF APRIL 2021. ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP MY EXPEDITION REWARD (THE GOLDEN VECTOR). GOOD JOB !!! (Sorry for the caps.) Unfortunately my last manual save is prior to a 5 hours hunt that I did to get an S class freighter so guess my golden ship is gone forever.

My Golden Vector which i redeemed in survival mode turned into a poxy blue exotic (stats and name still Vector) but gutted as I dont play normal and cant get another one!!

The same thing happened to me, so a friend and I were going through the quest and somehow swapped ships, well I guess we're stuck with it. Had no idea how common this issue was. xD

And this is why people cheat or play a diff game this is the kind of crap that got me to walk away last time. So far has not happened to me since I came back.

This same thing just happened to me also. No save to pull from, very upset as i spent ages looking for my fighter.
