Objects not loading / rendering after update 5.0
After I updated the game to 5.0 I ran into the issue of planets being basically empty, just the ground textures.

It was kinda normal before as well, when you landed on a planet for the first time in this game session, but object loaded in fairly quickly and everything was fine after a short while.

But now, things are not loading anymore, not even after minutes standing and waiting and as soon as a leave the already loaded area objects are gone again.

And for some reason some of the objects are only loading when I hover over them (see screenshots)

Look on left to the cactus, between all the rubble there is nothing, right?

It turns out when I get a little closer and hover over it, there is another pile of stone right in the middle.

So bascially I can't see objects right in front of me, unless I hover over them, except like floating stuff in the sky and buildings, after a while I get animals and maybe bigger boudlers, but it's not what I'm used to and it's basically unplayable.

It's not my hardware for sure, I could play on Ultra before @1080p60FPS no problem and I run a fast SSD as well, so loading times shouldn'T be a bottleneck. I checked my performance in Taskmanager and nothing is running out of space. 75% GPU usuage is like the highest I got.

I haven't checked new planets, just existing once so far and all have the same problem.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, because it seems I'm the only one having this kind of issue.

UPDATE:
- same on new plantes in new systems.
- same on lower graphics settings (Ultra -> High)

Also at the edge of the screen I can see objects unloading.

I mean I don't care if old planets look different as they used to look or any of the other complains people have with 5.0 as long as the basic loading of assets works like it is meant work before the update a downgrade like this in a 8 year old game running on a mid-tier maschine from last year, is unacceptable and QA/QM should have seen this, if they had done their job correctly.

Bump, thanks for taking the time to provide screenshots.

A performance patch is hopefully in the works 🤞

I've definitely noticed this as well - For example; @ 3440x1440 (90 fov) the delayed objects un/loading at edges of screen are very noticeable.

Maybe the unloading at the edges comes from the FOV. Higher values are showing a wider portion of the world, if the loading at the edges isn't bound to the actual FOV rather then some default value, you get this loading/unloading thing at the edges.

But this is a downgrade as well.
The 5.0 overall feels like a beta/prerelease version rather then an actual update

Couldn't agree more with regards to the downgrade initial impressions so far.

Your hypothesis on fov vs., or in contrast to - a bound or predetermined width is intriguing.

Maybe a temporary bandaid fix or quick test is a fov experiment.

We are all hopeful that these things get ironed out soon.

It seems like I was able to fix it. Usually my GPU driver gets updated by windows, but I still found a newer version which looks like it works as intented.

Okay, good! Do you still notice any pop in, specifically with grass, if you 180 on-foot behind you? p.s. - I'm running 560.70 driver)

no more pop ins like before, it's still loading some objects slowly like it did in 4.72 so I'm happy with that, but now the game crashed xD lol

But others also have crashed even more then I am, so I guess that will be fixed soon™
