Infinite loading screen, been up for 30 minutes, usually loading takes me 20 seconds
I've been playing this game (on linux) multiple times without issue, when suddenly I can't load into any save, even a new save, I just get stuck on that stars screensaver thing forever. SOMETIMES it will randomly still work, I have to force quit my game 20 times in a row and then suddenly trying to load a save will just work. A pattern I've seen is that if my loading is laggy as hell (my fps counter is stuck at 12 to 14), the game will never load. When my loading screen is not lagging, with my fps counter at 120, the game will load in a few seconds, but that only happens once every 20 tries.

I'm assuming the loading is trying to execute something that just fails infinitely and the error spam in the background is causing all the lag, I tried to run steam from my terminal to get logs but nothing is shown

Could you share your specs? (specifically OS, proton version, and graphics driver) I occasionally get an infinite loading screen, but it's fairly uncommon now... (now I just freeze the second my game loads in)

I recently got stuck with infinite loading loops, only thing I found that fixed it was deleting the file named "TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML" (or just move it elsewhere). It should be in
No Man's Sky/Binaries/SETTINGS/
Does not matter if you overwrite the new file it'll generate with the original file again... for some reason?
Hope this works for you!

I don't know if this fixed it, or if it's because it's been a couple days and I rebooted my PC, but this seems to have fixed it
