Post actual version numbers, please. I can't tell you how many times we saw people stating they had "latest drivers" only to learn later they used Windows to update their drivers and they were a year old.

NMS does crash now and then. If it's like couple of times per day then consider yourself lucky.

If it's very frequent then:

1) Remove any mods. There should be no files in this directory:
\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS\MODS\

2) Update your graphics card drivers by downloading the latest driver package from Nvidia, AMD or Intel and running the installer manually. Do not rely on Windows for keeping your graphics drivers updated. Do a clean installation when installing the drivers. I know Nvidia has a clean install option (select Custom Install first), not sure abut the other two.

3) Delete the graphics settings file and don't edit anything in there, let the game manage this file:
C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS\TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML

4) Install Visual C++. Since NMS uses three different versions it's best to install the all-in-one package from TechPowerup:
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/

I'm running the 535.98 drivers and have the same issue. Nothing in Events Viewer, no error pop-up, it just closes to the desktop like you told it to exit to desktop. No mods, vanilla install.

R7 3700X
B450
32GB
RTX 2060S
Windows 10

No plugins and mods installed,I don't have these issues when playing other 3A games,But what's confusing is that No Man's Sky crashes every time it's played for no more than two minutes

When I was searching on the internet, many people encountered similar issues, and I think I need an urgent patch to fix this problem

Of course, it's possible you just encountered a bug but making sure your drivers and C++ are updated is the first troubleshooting step.

When I try to use the Compatibility mode of WIN7, No Man's Sky will not crash. It runs smoothly. To emphasize, when I use WIN11, it will crash.

Additionally, C++has been updated according to your method, but the issue has not been resolved

I wonder if there is a bug in the latest Nvidia drivers then. You may need to wait for NMS patch and/or updated drivers.

Interesting find. Would never occurred to me to try. I haven't had to use compatibility mode for anything in many years. So any downside to keeping it in Windows 7 mode? I'm gonna try myself later.

In the Compatibility mode of WIN7, the game is very smooth and will never collapse, but unfortunately, it cannot be online and I cannot play with my online friends

Oh yeah, multiplayer gets disabled! It's no longer supported on W7. Makes me think if multiplayer is the culprit then?

So this troubles me a lot. If I choose the Compatibility mode of WIN7 to play, I will not be able to play with my netizens, so I hope you can find the cause of the problem. I look forward to such a patch. I like this game very much. I used to play him on PS4, but now I'm back on my PC. But unfortunately, I can't play normally

Sure, this is just a temporary workaround, not a permanent solution. Hopefully HG will figure this out soon.
