Hello everyone! So, I have the advantage of being well experienced in software engineering, along with the team I work with. In our campaign to figure out why our releatively high-end computers could not run "No Man's Sky," we have developed this solution.

Essentially what we've done is created an emulation of the Intel emulator that solved the SSE4.1 problem. Unfortunately, that fix was only compatible with Windows 7 users. We have rigged up a version of the emulator that works in Windows 10, and also can launch "No Man's Sky"

I used the Intel down load prior to this. I use a Phenom II 1090t. The Intel download worked, but locked up every 20 seconds or so for about 3 seconds. This guy's file works flawlessly for me for about 20-30 mins then my cpu spikes to 100% every min or so until I restart the game. My star load screen takes about 15 mins. It's a solid and playable fix for me. Been using it since last night.

This guy phrased the differense between Intel's specific fix and the edits we made perfectly.

If you computer identifies this as a trojan horse virus, here is the reason why:

The emulator contains "assembly code," a programming language that directly works with your processor. It is mainly used as the foundation of modern-day operating systems and other engines. However, trojan horses occasionally use assembly code to damage your system. Since your aniviral software does not recognize the emulator, it assumes it's a trojan horse.

However, I, and many other's who have used it on this thread, can assure you it is not.

HOW TO USE:

1]. Copy all of the files located in this folder (Win10_ModMCdl) into the "Binaries" folder in the "No Man's Sky" directory.

2]. Close Steam, then reopen Steam with Administrator Settings. (Right click steam icon -> "Run as Administrator")

3]. Run file "NMS_Emu" with Administrator Settings. (Right click NMS_Emu -> "Run as Administrator")

4]. Be patient. On low-end computers, it may take up to 5 minutes for the game to launch. (If your game crashes while loading, wait a few minutes, and try launching it again.)

5]. While playing, BE SURE TO SAVE FREQUENTLY. This is not a permenant fix, and the game will still crash after prolongued play. Be sure to save every 5 min or so, to ensure less data loss.

I hope this works for you, as it has worked for me, and also been tested with several others with 95% success. (Only 1 person could not run NMS because they were also missing OpenGL 4.5 drivers).

how did my post waste time? and where did i say it didnt work for me? the emulator worked first time i tried it on win10 2 days ago it worked to get past the sse4.1 crash but then crashed at the white screen as this is an ssse3 crash, my card has opengl 4.5 this is a different crash, so you guys didnt fix anything it has always worked on win10 but like i said it doesnt emulate ssse3 only sse3&4 so its not going to work for alot of people, i am trying to save those people time and effort, you have falsely said it fixes the ssse3 issue and that you guys fixed it to work in win10, both of which are false it has always worked on 10 and doesnt do jack for ssse3 you guys just basically made a glorified .bat file and are trying to act like heroes and wasting the time of people with cpu's that dont support ssse3

This has worked for me, and for many other people with the SSSE3 issue. If you want to deny the fact that it has, go ahead. Don't let any of the comments of people saying it has solved their issue persuade you.

Can confirm this works! Couldn't get past the star field on experimental, but I played 2 hours straight with this fix. It's a little slow, but playable!

Awesome! Just make sure you save frequently, as it can sometimes crash, or hitch up unexpectedly.

They also work on windows 7 in most cases with bad results.

The Win10 download does not come with the executable permissions unless you have a strong knowledge of command line. We've done the work for you so you don't have to go through those steps.

You need to be more specific that this not a fix for AMD processors.SSSE3 Amd problem.

Works fine for me, star field loading screen takes a few mintues, but other than that it's perfectly playable. Some hitching and microstutters, but perfectly playable.

Though, this is the final straw with my old AMD Phenom II CPU, just ordered a new i5 Skylake... I've always liked AMD, but I am done.

Yea i tried again last night, got a little bit farther, Got to the stars, got a nice halo effect, went black, and crashed to desktop.

This emulator may work for others but not for me sadly.

This only gets me to initialize then crashes every time hope they can solve this because the frame rate is nice still on phenom ii x4 850 3.3 ghz

I hope to! But after having to get a new case, mobo, cpu fan, and DDR4 ram...it was almost $700. Good thing No Man's Sky isn't the only thing I use my PC for!

STOP POSTING SUCH BS FIXES.

1. This might divert devs from fixing it themselves and they would just suggest use this emulator, instead of giving us real fix.

2. Emulator performance is very bad. No sane person will like to play game like this. You are just increasing the gameplay time, and if it goes more than 2 hours, Steam refund isn't possible.

3. Sde works fine on Windows 10. So stop trying to act smart. You didn't do ♥♥♥♥ .

1. Obviously people shouldn't be able to play a game they paid for if a fix is available and shown to be working for many. Gosh, those self-entitled kids and playing the game they spent money on. How DARE they. DOn't they know this is ruining the game for everyone else?

2. Oh no, bad performance. it's not like I used to play games at 15-20 FPS just because I enjoyed the game and was able to play despite lack-luster performance. Also if people wanted to return it, they'd do so. This doesn't stop them from doing so. It's not like this fix forces them to play more than 2 hours.

3. Except for the multitudes of people on this thread claiming the other fix didn't work, and this one does?
