~~~HELP!!!! Black screen after quitting game. HELP!!!~~~
It seems that I'm the only one of my friends that this is happening to. My nVida drivers are up to date and the whole computer is brand new. Windows 10 is up to date aswell. I have no issues playing and it runs great but when it comes time for me to quit it just gives me a black screen and I have to do a hard reset. While the black screen is on I've tried Control+Alt+Delete, Windows key, and Alt+F4 with no success besides restarting the computer.
(Also during the black screen I am still able to hear my friends in teamspeak and if I press the arrow keys+enter I can change channels) Has anyone else had this issue?
Sounds like your display driver may have crashed. Go into Eventviewer and check under Warnings. If there's anything with Display there, doubleclick it to verify that nvlddmkm crashed.
Should look like this: http://i.imgur.com/bOVbThu.png
Just checked and there's nothing for display. I'm running the game at Max at 1440p and graphics drivers are up to date.
6700k
1080 FTW
16GB Ram
and NMS is on an SSD.
I have the same problem, but also a fix of sorts: I disconnected my monitor and plugged in a second monitor. Not sure if it's important, but the first monitor is using display port and the other one uses hdmi. Anyhow, I switched back and the picture returned. It's seems like the game doesn't quit properly. If you don't have two monitors, maybe try switching to another cable type? Good luck! :)
i5 4570
gtx1070
8gb ram
ssd and win 10, all updated
I have two monitors, 1 is a display port and the other is hdmi. I'll try this trick and see if it works, will report back shortly!
Played for an hour and quit. Screens went black again and all I did was unplug my monitor's display port cable from my GPU then plugged it back in. Screens went back to normal, it is a pain in the butt to have to do that everytime hopefully it is patched sometime soon.
*Again* drivers on my GTX 1080 FTW is updated and nothing is showing in my event viewer about a display driver crashing so I'm not sure what is causing this issue.
I'm assuming you're playing in Fullscreen? Try playing in Borderless and see if it happens then.
Glad it sort of worked for you as well. This is the only problem I've had with the game, but I waited two days before I started playing.
I tried borderless but it did not help. I am guessing it is related to GTX1000-series drivers and/or some display port weirdness. Hopefully they'll figure it out soon.
I have the same problem and i got a GTX 780 Ti so it is not a problem of the 1000-series. Gonna try the unplug-fix after my next session.
Do you have displayport?
I patched the game and updated the drivers again and the problem seemed to have disappeared, but unfortunately it reappeared the next time I quit the game.
You are not alone man. Exact same problem here. I have to restart my pc every time I quit the game. My pc is brand new:
i7-6700K
GTX-1080 MSI
32 GB ram
SSD
Monitor: Asus PG348Q
I have no clue why the screen blacked out. Really annoying though. I assume it's something with the graphic card support. But if you are also using an 21:9 3440*1440 monitor. That monitor might be the source then. Anyway, if you find a solution, let me know. :)
Don't think it's the monitor my stats are:
i7-4770K
GTX 780Ti EVGA
16GB RAM
OS on SSD, game on HDD
Monitor: BENQ XL2411 (1920x1080)
So I think it is some engine failure at shutdown :(
I don't think that my Acer Predator XB271HU would cause an issue. I think it may be a compatibility issue with the 1080 and the game.
Look at my pc stats and you are going to see that it's not the 1080 ;)
