Depends on your GPU.
I have a GeForce GTX 770. I had 4.4 until i used 369.00.
Intel 2 Quad CPU 2.4 GHz
Steam says OpenGL 4.5 but still crashing on Hello Games screen... What am I doing wrong?
EDIT: I installed the Beta drivers from AMD Version 16.8.2
The Core 2 Quad Q6600 doesn't support SSE 4.1. This game requires a CPU that supports SSE 4.1
SSE4 support will come hopefully this day. https://twitter.com/NoMansSky/status/764427751357120512
So what exactly is SSE4.1? I'd really like to expand my knowledge about these kinds of technical detail
SSE is an instruction set. Basically, each new instruction set or revision of a set inscreases what a processor can do on a hardware level. Essentially, new instruction sets increase what a processor architecture is capable of doing, which should theoretically result in increased effeciency at certain tasks?
