Also, make sure you gfx card is fully updated.
If you find it too choppy to be a long-term fix, it may be better off waiting to see if the devs come up with a permanant fix.

Are you saying that you followed my instructions 3 times and it didn't work?
If so, what DID happen. I can't help if you don't give info.
Well, steam MUST be running for my hack to work. It does NOT circumvent any steam protections. It runs an emulator for the SSE4 instruction set.
That's not an issue with steam running. For many people the game wil not launch directly from the executable file. It works fine when launched out of steam however. This is a secondary issue in addition to the SSE problem.
I haven't yet found a solution to this either. Been trying to get the sde to run as a third party app from in steam as well and steam doesn't seem to like that.
