Why does my game look so bad?
This is what my game looks like:

I am on my native resolution and have texture and world generation on high, AA on FXAA. The game looks as if it is being upsampled from 800x600 or something?

Is this really what the game is meant to look like? Cause that has not been my impression.

Just for kicks I turned DSR on in the NVidia control panel and I started the game at 4k using DSR and wow.

Not only does it look 100x better, but, and I realize this is counter-intuitive, I feel like it runs better, to boot.

Interesting, could you share a short how-to?

Yeah but having seen all the PS4 footage it almost seems like the game looks BETTER on PS4... which would be ridiculous.

Really?! Higher resolution and DSR make the game look better?!

Who would've guessed? Except everybody.

My god... It looks like it's using bilinear filtering. What is up with the Antistrophic filtering? Does it even have one?

Figured out how to use DSR - it does look a LITTLE better, but still looks like ass overall.

However my FPS has SIGNIFICANTLY increased, VERY weird.

Sadly right now I care more about the game looking half decent rather than having proper FPS (not to say that isn't important).

Point taken, but I was kinda set aback when I saw just how crummy it looked at 1080.

It looks pretty bad even in 4K. Better doesn't make it good...

That looks worse than Spore. Frame-rate probably is better than Spore's though. Of course, that's not saying much...

Yeah I honestly don't even see a difference between with or without DSR. DSR just seems to boost your FPS.

Fact that you don't see a difference just reinforces my suspicion that the game isnt being rendered at the chosen resolution at all.

Did you not read the initial post? i had the same issue game was running slow and looked like it was a much lower resolution clearly there is an issue.

Upscaling the resolution to 4k making it look like it should at 1080p and improving the game speed is a helpful fix, instead of being so condescending to the above poster maybe you should put more effort into your replies.

Sorry mate, last time I tried to help I was called a hater. I warned y'all the port would be garbage, your fault you didn't listen.

Well, enjoy your broken game.

turn off FXAA if you are running high resolution you kill performance/details. You are not playing on a console. And remove Gsync (false).
