Um floating through space endlessly?

I started up No mans sky and am on some screen where I am floating through the stars in space; no option to start a new game and no menu. Ideas?

Same. Finally some others with the same issue. This seems to be more rare.

I do see the No Man's Sky logo, then just passing stars. Same for you?

It's the loading screen, for some people it takes 5-10 minutes, then you get the initialise screen.

I wish I could keep it running like that, I'd have a screensaver.
It loads the title and then fades to white to load whatever's next, and crashes.

yeah after a couple thousand stars game just crashes, but im able to see no man's sky logo and a bunch of names on screen

it finally works.... although i have to reduce settings to get it to work

Yes it's just loading. Man the FPS though...

after 5 minutes of the stars i think the game just doesnt understand what to do and crashes.
