Game crash at startup

Ive been able to download and install the game and every time i start the game i get to the initilise screen and then it crashes on me

I have a Phenom 2 x6 1090T Black Edition paired with a gtx970 Same problem but the funny part is that my machine has a random bluescreen occuring every day once , fun fact no mans sky stops working after i had my daily bluescreen , before it's kinda laggy sometimes but playable

Thanks to the recents experimental patches now I can play the game, at least... (before always got crash in the Hello Games splash screen). I'm waiting for the end patch to quit the experimental version and see the real improve on the optimization asap.

P.S:It would be great we would see new content too!!

I was having the same issue. What I did was to run cccleaner to clean the registry. Also thru steam validated all the files were ok. Then reboot the computer and it started working with no problems.

You.... OSVIPAG person..... are a....COMPLETE GENIUS! Thank you so much! It worked, did a Defrag, then a files check and haven't frozen since (except died of cold on a planet). Thanks again! Now...have to get back to feeding my baby (kidding)!

P.S: its on medium details, full-screen and normal version (not experimental) if anyone asks.

I bought the game and returned it after this error. Then nVidia updated their drivers so I bought it again. Still doesn't work.

i know this is real stupid, so here it goes. i had the game for 1 day and it was hanging up in the white splash screen with initalise everytime, i went through re-download, drivers, editting things in the games files, nothing, always hung up there. and for some unknown reason while looking at the circle with the E in it, i pushed the E key and held it down...boom game working

Lol - that's because in your case it wasn't hanging. The game was designed so that in order to start you had to press and holde the E key - or X on the Xbox controller until the circle fills. It's supposed to teach you the basics of the selection mechanism

What I'm not liking is all these things that pop up and say you've aceived but no explanation what they are or do, I've been stuck since day 1 with abroken ship and not to be able to transfer things to fix it or find stuff to fix it & now nothing that I do have seems to be able to transfer to the ship.
So all I do is run around collect stuff, die, look at same old crap, die, collect, die, run, die, Ream has got the last buck out of me, they helped sell a malfunctioning product so I will never use them for anything. Because they would'nt do a refund I'm stuck with this over complicated nightmare of Frengi like loops of totally pointless loops of acusitions and death.
I feel like Sisyphus punished by the Gods to keep pushing that boulder up that hill only to have to coolect more goods only to die again & start over, 7 over, & over.
I can't tell if it's me, or they still have to do updates to fix this, all I know is I bought this to kill some time and relax and now I just hate this thing.
