Well I mean Steam page lists the game will have "Partial Controller Support".

Played a few games with "Partial Controller Support" and they work same as games with "Full Controller Support".

Edit:
Check this: http://gaming.stackexchange.com/questions/94987/whats-the-difference-between-full-controller-support-and-partial-controller

More or less the same thing, most joysticks get detected by Windows the same way as controllers do. Unless I'm wrong or something has changed there shouldn't be any problem.

I have a decent joystick, but the issue I see with straight up joystick control is...how will you control your guy when you land, which you will presumably doing a whole lot.

Joysticks are great for flight, but uh, I don't see how it would be used to walk around with.

I hope i can use my flight stick. Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Joystick. If it only keyboard and mouse then that really is a downer. I dont mind switching from flight stick to keyboard and mouse when walking.

No word yet on joystick support but it has been said the controls are so simple for flight one is utterly unessessary.

No mention of flight sticks/HOTAS etc. yet.

I suspect it does not. I have a Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X Flight Stick and it did not show up in the controls section. I also tried mapping buttons and no recognition. I did open a support ticket this morning with NMS.. we'll see what the answer is.

I own a HOTAS X for Elite Dangerous but using one for this game would be like using one for Freelancer. It simply isn't done due to arcade flight mechanics, auto landing, single button controls, etc. This game is all about the game pad or, if you have to, keybard and mouse.

Boo.. I dont care! I am happy to move back and forth with joystick and keyboard/nouse and fine with dumb down flight mechanics. Let me have the option ya know!

NOTE: Console = button mashers... Let the PC peeps have more evolved options :)

Well we are a dying breed ya know but we still vote, have insurance, and pay taxes :)

Still no reply from Hello Games if they support PC Joysticks :(
