Still not able to screenshot

I have rebound my key for screenshots as per advice, but, still no go on it. I've never been able to take screenshots. Is there a way to set it in the MXML settings?

So, sick of this. Remapping the key does no good. Printscreen only gives a black shot. Nothing seems to work. I have never been able to screenshot the game. Nor can I record the game with ShadowPlay. Even after I set SP to capture desktop. All it does is record my desktop itself.

Are you using steam to take the screenshot? If you want to record, try this: https://obsproject.com/

Yes. I've tried everything. There must be a way to set it up in the settings. Am reinstalling NMS now. But, I doubt if that will help. I used to use that when I did streaming. I really don't want to use that to record for youtube. It was a real pain to set it up properly.

It's under Steam -> Settings -> In-Game -> Screenshot shortcut keys. Mine is F8 and it works fine. If you have a laptop with a Fn key, try using a letter key or something. For OBS, use these settings: https://obsproject.com/forum/resources/obs-classic-how-to-make-high-quality-local-recordings.16/ Then, all you have to do is create a scene, add a Game Capture, right click on the Game-Capture and set the application to NMS. (NMS should be running).

Screenshots work in all of my games except for NMS. So, go figure.

Yes. I can take screens in all of my other games with no issues.

So, you can open the overlay while playing NMS?

I've used this before to record games http://store.overwolf.com/app/Overwolf-Game_Capture It's easier to use than OBS, but not as reliable. I've yet to find a game OBS can't record.

You mean Shift + Tab? No. That option doesn't work either.

Screenshots won't work unless the overlay is working. Check to see if it's enabled under Steam -> Settings -> In-Game. If Overwolf works for you, you can take screenshots with that also, so you wouldn't have to bother with the Steam overlay, OBS or anything else.

It is enabled. That's why I can take screenshots in my other games. It's just NMS.

Looks like you're not alone. I searched the forum and found at least 5 other comments with the same problem. No good solutions though.

I've even asked on the Nexus. No one replies at all.
