Steam Client Bootstrapper is using 30%-40% CPU while No Mans Sky runs
Steam Client Bootstrapper is using 30%-40% CPU and 1,4gb ram while No Mans Sky runs. Steam is frozen everytime i run NMS. NMS is running with ~40% Cpu and ~85% gpu.

This is and should not be normal. This is new with Beyond.
Somebody know a solution?

my specs:
-win 10 pro
- i5 6600K
- gtx 1060 6gb
- 16gb ram
- no VR

Can you go into your per-game settings for NMS and stop forcing off Steam Input? Or try the Steam beta client where I think this issue is fixed?

Right click on nms in your game library -> properties -> general

Steam input per-game setting
--> forced off

Use bpm overlay when steam input is active per-game setting
--> forced off

Forcing off Steam Input on the current stable client was the source of the bug. Opting into beta is the fix, if you're another person reading this please don't force off Steam Input on the current stable client.

Steam Beta
Forcing off Steam Input does result in the return of normal FPS but disconnects my controller.
Not a working option for me

Opting into beta didn't fix it and forcing off steam input stops the controller from working

Well I just started having an issue where SteamClientBootstrapper was actually *locking up* in the background, causing severe slowdown and crashing NMS entirely after a few minutes.

Forcing Steam Input off fixed this completely...

If you're having an issue where Steam locks up can you go into Big Picture->NMS's Library Page->Manage Game->Controller Configuration->Browse->Select the recommended configuration->Apply and see if that fixes the issue?
