Version mismatch issue

This morning a new patch was released only for PC. When I try to join my friend (who is on Xbox series S) it says version mismatch, and wont let me join. Is there any way around this problem?

I want to understand the issue as well. how do you check what version we are using on steam?

I wouldn't mind knowing a fix for this, before the update i was able to join ps4 friends and now i can no longer join them due to "Version Mismatch".

EDIT: Yes, everyone has checked versions and saved in their own worlds, no fix. https://steamcommunity.com/app/275850/discussions/1/3044985412466083995/ someone might have found a reason why, might have to wait it out.

I have two friends who have NMS on MS Store.... I'm on steam version mismatch? Like thats not even cross platform issue . Seem like just steam has got the update and not any other platform.

Same issue here, myself on steam and partner on XB Gamepass, version mismatch when it worked just fine yesterday.

Same here, can't crossplay this with friend's updated ps4 version, version mismatch.

Are any of you using the Experimental branch? This is the reason for mismatch. Consoles dont offer a Experimental version , only PC. When experimental testing is done, all PCs will be running same version as consoles.

For ours we left it a few hours and an update became available through the windows store for the gamepass player.
