its a no go :( Seems does not see the Nvidia Geforce 1080 GTX ?
For Test... and i know it's a pain... you need a baseline hardware test

Physically remove your External 3070 ... using manufacturer instructions... which probably involves removing driver and then removing device in Device Manager... do your diligence.

If your laptop has "2" drivers, one for each card, uninstall 3070 first (along with hardware removal procedure). Then once you have successfully booted back into windows, go to nividia site and download latest drivers ... then remove 1080 drivers.

Only reinstall 1080 first... when asked to do you want to do a "Clean Install" 1080 install, if you have MANY games that you've modified profiles for DO NOT select this. Unless you only have a few, then Yes, one less troubshoot step later on.

Once you're back in win10 with no errors, go and "delete" TKGRAPHISSETTINGS" [only] (game rewrites this on initial start and loads detectable hardware and sets games default upon ascertaining its abilities.

Start game... if you get in normally, jump in and out of ship for a save and exit game.

Go back to TKGRAPHICS and these line should look identical to my lines...

(except of course the ones that have "Ti" in them)

<Property name="FullScreen" value="true" /> (note: you can change this here)
<Property name="Borderless" value="false" /> (note: you can change this here)
<Property name="Monitor" value="0" />
<Property name="MonitorNames">
<Property name="MonitorNames" value="0|NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti|Generic PnP Monitor" />
</Property>
<Property name="ResolutionWidth" value="1920" />
<Property name="ResolutionHeight" value="1080" />
<Property name="ResolutionScale" value="1.000000" />

(and all the way at the bottom)

<Property name="AdapterName" value="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti" />
<Property name="AdapterIndex" value="0" />

Then go back in and play the game for a while, to see if there are any anomalies.

If game plays normally, it may be that NMS engine is unable to detect the "External GPU" and thinks it's mounted on the Laptop motherboard visa-vie, my novice interpretation of the line... that contains "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop G\\." -or- the 3070 is bidened.

Good Luck

P.s. go here and submit all the stuff you posted here with as many descriptions of the symptom and what you have tried here... might take quite a long time...

https://hellogames.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Yeah so... if you can play ok using GPU 1080, you should do that while waiting for a response.

Use your method worked like a charm My TKGRAPHICS looks similar but it worked Thanks a Million VLFBERHT

Nope sorry, not so sure about this... look at these lines... I do not have a CPU with integrated GPU "UHD Graphics", so i'm not sure if the game engine is actually using your 1080 when the game starts as the direct primary output to the laptops monitor.

<Property name="MonitorNames" value="0|Intel(R) UHD Graphics|Generic PnP Monitor" />

-AND-

Property name="AdapterName" value="NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080" />

Go into game and select Video Options.

Windows Mode - set this to "Fullscreen"
Monitor - set this to "Primary"
Resolution - 1920 x 1080
V-sync - Triple Buffering
Max Frames - set this to 40 or 60 depending on your laptops performance
... and most importantly... this next one should be...
GPU - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1080

(Do your due diligence BEFORE proceeding with "finding a way to disable UHD-Graphics"... some integrated hardware design manufacturers wont allow this)

*If* ... NMS has selected "GPU = UHD Graphics" and there is no option to change this value to the GTX 1080, you might need to find out how to disable the UHD and temporarily run windows with the 1080, delete TKGRAPHICS again, then start the game to correct the detection.

(if NMS then correctly detects and loads the 1080 as GPU to be used, dont forget the tun back on UHD to run windows, regain proper laptop battery usage when just windows apps and stuff.

Also in Geforce game Profile preferences... if you wall plug laptop while NMS'ing, make sure this setting is ...

Power management mode - Prefer maximum performance

Good Luck with finding a way to be able to shunt in that 3070 correctly
{seems like a pain, though}

Have Fun
