Has anyone found a fix to the ucrtbase.dll error and game crashing on hello games screen?
Curious if anyone who had this issue managed to actually launch the game? I've been searching for a fix for close to a month and still nothing...

I did a quick google and found this:

The causes of the error could be the following:

Due to an error that may lead to losing data, the ucrtbase.dll file is inaccessible or damaged. Try reinstalling the application.
The antivirus software may have blocked the ucrtbase.dll file's access. Check the files quarantined by the antivirus software.
The Windows registry’s database is damaged. With the help of Windows System Restore, you can return to a previous state with system settings that still work.

You might want to check or ensure that NMS is on the OK list for your anti-virus tool(s). This is a pretty common fix if the game will not run.

Other than that, the error appears to have nothing to do with the game but something is wrong with your Windows registry.

You may scan all system files, open a CMD as an administrator and type:
sfc /scannow

Okay, i scanned the files and it said it repaired some of them, but the game still turns off at the hg screen.

What if you completly uninstall the game ? Than reboot and install it again ?
Or install CCleaner (free version) and do a registrie scan and let it fix all issues

i reinstalled it a few times already along with adding it to whitelists, repairing files, checking integrity, turning off my antivirus and windows security and various other things. Will try CCleaner, maybe it will help.

Turning of Antivir or Windows Defender does not help..
A full Scan with Windows Defender may be needed if a malware is the reason
What you also can try :
Go into Windows Settings > Apps & Features List
Scroll down to all of the "Microsoft Visual C++..." items.
Click on each one and select the "Modify" button. Then "Repair
Modify and Repair will only be possible if it is damaged

reading your Event Viewer its actually a c0000005 issue .. not a urctbase.dll issue
maybe this site gives you some more help :
