I played a couple of days in Normal, and after Dying a few times, and loosing all of my Life support a second time, basically having to Start Over, I decided it is Too much like Real Life, for me to enjoy, and I play Games to Relax, not fight Daily for Survival...
In Normal mode if you die you can get your grave back, meaning you keep all your inventories. Apparently you don't know that, so look for your 'grave' next time you die. It's a diamond object at the very place of your death. Collect it. And if you die in space, fly over this symbol. You don't get this feature in Survival or Permadeath mode.
I don't see however what all this has to do with auto-powering your base and possible malfunctions there. the Autopower should work in a way that you don't EVER have to care about any powering devices like batteries, wiring, biofuel reactors, solar panels etc. , you can ignore all these and your base has power without your doing. IN THEORY because I haven't tested it, I remember it works fine with prefab buildings.
Ah Thanks. This Normal has a Lot of Information at start that is not offered in Creative, but I saw nothing about that.
I was upset that I spent Two days gathering things, and Poof they were gone...
This issue, to me looks to be a Glitch in the Code somewhere. I started several games over the last few weeks or so, and each time I ran into "Do This For Power Grid", and no matter what I did, it never counted.
Today I put in a Bio-Generator, and a Couple of Wire Runs, and it went past that, and on to Get The Overseer, then I went to the Computer and Put the Auto-Power back on.
The Bio-Generators need a Crew Member Assigned just to keep them Full, and Running...
With this type of post here, they should work it into an Up-Date Release in the Future...
"Auto-Power-On" Should Remove all the Missions about Installing Power, Wires, or any of that.
