Issue with Auto Power on Base Computer
I have been having Trouble Moving through the Power Grid Section of The Base set up Missions.
When I initially set up a Base, I Turn on "Auto Power" on the Base Computer.

As I play, it then gets to Expand The Base, and wants a Power Gird Set Up.
No Matter what I would do, it never Accepted the Bio-Generator, and Wires I Laid in, or any other Equipment I added. (To Build A Grid)

Today, I Started a new Base, Left The Auto Power "OFF", Built the Structure, Put in a Bio-Generator, Snapped a Wire to the Structure, and it Immediately Jumped to "Go Hire a Manager"...

Looks to be a Hang up in the Auto Power that does not Skip Past The Power Section, and allow that Section to be seen as Complete.

I then Turned the Auto Power On, and went on with play.

As I understand The Auto Power Option, it should Bypass all of the Power Need Missions Sections... But, That is not the Case.

Is Autopower now an option in all game modes? I thought it was only an option in Creative... For that reason I don't know of any malfunctions because humm...Creative for me? No, the game is pathetically easy without this mode, I use it to test some base-building stuff - and then I ignore autopower. I wouldn't mind having it in Normal mode which would be much more useful.

I don't know, I am in Creative.
I played a couple of days in Normal, and after Dying a few times, and loosing all of my Life support a second time, basically having to Start Over, I decided it is Too much like Real Life, for me to enjoy, and I play Games to Relax, not fight Daily for Survival...

In Normal mode if you die you can get your grave back, meaning you keep all your inventories. Apparently you don't know that, so look for your 'grave' next time you die. It's a diamond object at the very place of your death. Collect it. And if you die in space, fly over this symbol. You don't get this feature in Survival or Permadeath mode.
I don't see however what all this has to do with auto-powering your base and possible malfunctions there. the Autopower should work in a way that you don't EVER have to care about any powering devices like batteries, wiring, biofuel reactors, solar panels etc. , you can ignore all these and your base has power without your doing. IN THEORY because I haven't tested it, I remember it works fine with prefab buildings.

Ah Thanks. This Normal has a Lot of Information at start that is not offered in Creative, but I saw nothing about that.
I was upset that I spent Two days gathering things, and Poof they were gone...

This issue, to me looks to be a Glitch in the Code somewhere. I started several games over the last few weeks or so, and each time I ran into "Do This For Power Grid", and no matter what I did, it never counted.
Today I put in a Bio-Generator, and a Couple of Wire Runs, and it went past that, and on to Get The Overseer, then I went to the Computer and Put the Auto-Power back on.

The Bio-Generators need a Crew Member Assigned just to keep them Full, and Running...

Once you have chosen 'Autopower = ON' you must go on with it I think to avoid problems. In that case don't bother with these devices. In another base of yours you can chose 'Autopower = OFF' in which case you must use these devices to power, and here also, better not change it without deleting and replacing your base.

You can just go on, but the Mission should not be on the List Either.....
"Auto-Power-On" Should Remove all the Missions about Installing Power, Wires, or any of that.

I don't see a Link on that Page to Submit A Ticket. I Click on one of the Two that ask if you have something to Report, and it Loops Back to That same Page.

There should be a "Submit a request".
