Please Help! Vulkan issue! Can't Launch the game!
I have a HP Laptop with Intel HD520 Graphics. I have fully updated the driver. My computer reads as having vulkan version 1.0.13 installed but when I try and fire up the game it will not start saying the version of vulkan I have needs to be updated and it lists my version as 0.16.3 even though my computer reads as 1.0.13. HELP???

Vulkan ver 1.0.13 is really old. A quick google shows ver 1.1.73 was released way back in May 2018 for Intel HD Graphics! See, for example -

https://www.geeks3d.com/20180523/intel-hd-graphics-driver-v6094-with-vulkan-1-1-73-support/

I don't think you can possibly be using a fully updated driver.

Edit: In Steam go to Help/System Information, that should confirm your Driver Date is old - copy'n'paste the result here.

I have run the HP update assistant and intel update assistant and they say the graphics is fully updated, so im not sure what I should do to fix this issue.

When I looked that up it says the date was 10.2.2017, which as you said, sounds ANCIENT. But I have no idea how to fix this issue?

Thank you for the help! :)

I think this is the page you need - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/88355/Intel-HD-Graphics-520

If you're on Win10 that first one dated September 5th 2019 should do the trick. For Win7 or 8.1 the second driver dated April 1st 2019 ...

Let us know how you get on!

I'm the one having issues, I followed your link and downloaded but I get this pop up that says, "the driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer manufacturer"

I have this same issue, running GTX 560 with absolutely brand new drivers (just reinstalled them just for this issue). My ticket with zendesk from yesterday got me only an automated response and LITERALLY NOTHING ELSE. I understand this is a relatively small developer and maybe they don't work weekends or something? But I bought a product and can't use it at all, seems kind of outrageous to me

Cheers, I am not running intel graphics but a dedicated Nvidia graphics cards, and I was able to download and install fresh new drivers no problem so I think my issue is not quite the same as yours. Getting error message that my graphics driver doesn't support Vulkan (it does!) and game crashes before opening. Cannot access game at all. I'm a bit furious that zendesk and hello games are not helpful about this issue at all, and my efforts to fix it have not solved it

Get a new GPU, the 560 wont do it anymore.
