suddenly i cant focus the game, when i start it

Since today, everytime i'm starting the game, it looses the focus and my mouse cursor shows up.
I can click it again, get focus for a half of a second and it drops me off again.

I played the game for 3 hours wihout any issues and now i just cant fix this.
- with admin-mode
- change resolution
- switch to borderless-window
- updating my drivers etc.

So what is the f.king problem with this piece of software?

Things to try:
- Check your Focus Assist settings
- Check your Notification settings
- Check any other programs you have running, including background applications, game overlays, etc.
You can use Window Focus Logger[www.adminscope.com] in case you have trouble identifying which application is responsible.

At the Screen where you choose what you want to play click and HOLD the mouse.Than the next Screen appears (dont release the mouse) where you point your Savegame you want to have..

I've tried the Focus Logger, but there is nothing that "steals" the focus.

From the image provided, I suspect it may be Cortana (SearchUI.exe). Have you tried disabling Cortana or checking any settings related to it? Maybe you can end the task (SearchUI.exe) to see if that temp fixes it. You will no longer be able to use the Windows Search at all anymore, but at least you may be able to figure out if it is the cause. A restart of your system should bring search back again.

Maybe there is an issue with the System Files, try the System File Checker and DISM:

Make sure Windows is fully updated.

You could completely disable Cortana if it turns out to be the issue:
With Pro or Enterprise you can do this through the Policy Editor, if you have the Home edition, it requires a registry edit.

Cortana is there because i need to click on my taskbar (where cortana is too), to get back to the Logger-programm, to stop the recording. The problem-piece must be - if there would be something - between the several NMS-Focuses.

Lets be honest...
- I could play the game before, three times for around a hour
- nothing changed
- but the game starts bugging

I'm very sure, that it is NOT my system, that causes this problem.

I will check my system-files, but im hoping for nothing. :/

If the issue persists, you may wish to check your Steam install, specifically the 'steamwebhelper' which can cause issues when failing, or somehow being blocked by anti virus, causing loss of focus.

Edit: I can understand why it may show and it may not be the culprit. I am just trying to help based on your info provided. Same with the steamwebhelper, which may or may not be the cause. Both SearchUI and steamwebhelper are known as a 'possible' cause though. If it is the game, you may give 'verify integrity of game files' a try. I personally doubt it to be the game causing this, but I may as well be wrong of course.

Yes, and im thankfull for your help.
But why did it work seamless for several hours and now not? And why is it only this game? and so on...
It seems that i need to try to contact the developer directly for this.

Holding my mouse-button does the same as a simple click.
The game goes into focus... aaand is loosing the same, a half second later...

Okay... than try Alt+Tab out and in... that did fix it for some players

Its loosing the window-focus! What does Alt-Tab do? Ah yeah... change the window-focus.
