Huge Fps drop after Exo Mech Update
After the Exo Mech Update i'm experiencing a huge drop in performance, getting half the Fps I used to have on planets, and is very low in my base. I used to have 120+ Fps in large bases, now i'm getting 30. Lowering details does not change it, I've noticed it created a CPU bottleneck that I never had before.

Same goes for me and at least one more person that commented in another thread

Yeah, obvious CPU bottleneck. Not related to graphics at all. It should still be playable, but for whatever reason when the game goes below 80-90 FPS it feels laggy no matter what. With my G-Sync screen even 30-40 should be fair enough, but that's far from the case. Seems that the FPS is effectively half of what my counter is saying. The game is practically unplayable near my main bases, but fine when there are no buildings around. Even the smallest NPC building takes away 20-30% of my performance.

SAME i have a i7 8700k@4,8 ghz 16Gb DDR4 @3200mhz RTX2080 Ti
the framerate is around 80 fps where i normally got 144
I have a 144hz 1080p Gsync monitor but the drops from 144 to 80 are very noticable and making the game not so enjoyable anymore.

I was actually fine when exomech dropped, but the most recent <20mb update suddenly made my base a lagfest.

even further in the game i am getting framedrops down to the 60's and 1 big stutterfest

Yeah, framerate near my base on home planet used to be 70+ when facing away from base, 50+ when facing base, now it's 35 when facing away from base. It looks like their AO "optimization" had the opposite effect.

The game needs to write new cache files after update, start a 2nd time and you are fine.

Nope, that's not it. Running on an SSD and launched the game again and same subpar performance. Also, I've never had this immediate, noticeable performance drop on other patches even on first launch.

Too bad...My response was only a possible fix. Maybe it's also related with the current mouse control bug, try to change from Fullscreen in Borderless.

They increased the LOD, maybe that's it.

Did they? No mention of it in patch notes and I didn't notice a difference when actually playing. If they did they screwed something up, because it shouldn't cut your framerate in half.

I definitely see things being rendered from further away now.

I'm running a i5-8600k, GTX1080, 16gb DDR4 Ram, and a Gsync monitor and it can't keep a stable 60fps on Medium Settings on even the tutorial planet right now so it's entirely possible something got borked with one of the more recent updates.

That's not really it, if you decrease the value of planet quality (wich change the amount of elements rendered) it does not increase my fps. I tried with everything at minimum and it didn't really returned my performance at what it used to be. to be honest the grass still very close to you, I can see close hills without grass.
