Crash Whenever Leaving Starting Planet
I had this game about a month ago and was forced to refund it because I almost hit the hour limit due to a glitch. I can't leave the starter planet because whenever I lift off, I hard crash when leaving the atmosphere. I haven't found any reports of a glitch quite like this, does anybody know of a possible cause (and solution) to this error?

If you have an AMD card, install older driver 18.11.02.

I have NVIDIA, but thanks anyway.

Crashes due to Nvidia cards - if powerful enough and at least 4gb VRAM - are a rarity. I would say the cause is not your card but corrupt game files or save files. The remedy is this (look below), or the cause is in your OS or hardware.
----------------------------------------
Here are the first things to do before making deeper OS or GPU checks:

- Delete or empty the MODS folder in PCBANKS folder;
- Make sure the original DISABLEMODS.TXT file is present in the PCBANKS folder;
- Go in the SETTINGS game folder and delete all 3 files;
- Go in the SHADERCACHE folder and delete all files;
- Go in the 'cache' folder of your savegame folder and delete all files;
- Make a file integrity check in Steam Overlay.
After this, restart the game. It will be at default settings for your GPU again. Be patient because all shaders will be re-created, this can take long.

If still you have problems, your savegames are most likely corrupt. To correct that, if you don't want to restart new, then:

- Install NMS Save Editor for Java 8;
- Load your savegame in the editor and chose 'Save changes' without modifying anything. Alternatively, chose 'Coordinate Viewer' and chose "Warp/Save", this will put your avatar outside of space station and you can play from there.

Restart game and hope.

For this game I would disable auto-update and Cloud Save. Make savegames backups once in awhile.

I'll try that when I have a chance to pick the game back up again. Thanks for the advice!
