REALITY DE-THREADER

I've posted this on the Facebook - No Man's Sky page and no one can answer this.
What is a Reality De-Threader and how do I install it.
I seem to have all the materials - but have NO clue on getting it installed on my Freighter
What is going on?
Any help?

What happens when you go to the technology tab for the freighter and press E while mousing-over an empty slot?

FYI, apparently if you have a pre-Syn Freighter, you will not have the available slots- assuming you already have the 3 filled. You have to look for a new freighter. Not seeing much advantage to giving up my S class freighter for anything less, so could be a while before I update.
