NEED MONEY
In real life, but also in the game. I found an S class ship, these big ships that can be used as bases, can't remember their name in english. Cargueros. It was S class. They asked me 134 million credits. I had 50. After a HUGE EFFORT.

I am getting money by traficking with illegal weapons and stuff bought from pirates and through agriculture. Nip nip I think it's called.

But it's getting me nowhere. I have a farm with about 15 domes and it's too slow. I may get around 8 millions or something like that every time. But it takes hours.

And buying and selling illegal stuff is a pain. I go around 10 pirate stations, then sell the stuff anywhere, and I may get an even smaller amount. And it takes a lot of time.

It's a big grind. There must be a better way.

Have in mind that I am a relatively recent players and that I don't play in english, meaning, please be patient with my lack of understanding.

Salvaging crashed starships is a great moneymaker, I would recommend that.

if your able to trigger the Sentinel battles from the ground into space then you can get Carrier AI fragments when you defeat the freighter that will lead to a crashed Sentinel ship repair it then get few million for a few minutes time

Ok, I started doing this, it's been around 5 starships now. But it's not that great for me :(, I may get around 2 million credits each time and it takes a long time. And it's really repetitive. Is there something else than this bags full of small critters? At first I was excited, I was expecting some surprises... but it's the same thing every tme. Those things are a huge plague, the entire universe is full of starships that died with the exact same accident :(

I have been donating the main items (diaries and such) to the guilds. Can I sell them? I tried doing it but I don't think I found the choice.

But it's all random, isn't it? What's the chance of getting that item that I need to find it? How many ships would I have to destroy first? I read other people saying this (maybe it was you, in other thread) but I tried doing it and I found 2... in around 5 hours. I don't think it's worth it like that...

Have you tried using the economy scanner to search for trade surges?

I installed the thing but I don't understand it, to be honest. I don't know how to use it, or how to take advantage of it efficiently. The economic system in the game seems simple but the benefit tends to be so low, even when trafficking with illegal stuff, you need to invest huge amounts of money to get a good return but you have to look around and be careful, I don't know.

If you can explain me that stuff I'll give it a serious try.

First, DO NOT LEAVE THE SYSTEM!

If you do, the Class of the freighter you found will reset. S-Class is highly unlikely. If you can find the freighter again at all.

Install 1 to 3 medium Refiners at some base.
Get some "seed" chlorine, either from ocean plants/minerals, or by refining salt.

Get as much Oxygen as you can.

Best way is a natural Oxygen vent/cloud (Use the Survey Device), with Gas Extractors, pipes, and Storage Depots.

Next best way is Oxygen Harvesters spaced around the base. They need to be 50u apart. They need to be fueled. I know that you can have 3 within a base (or maybe on the whole planet), and according to the wiki the limit may be as high as 6.

Final mass Oxygen collection option is:
Large refiner.
1 Condensed Carbon + 1 "planetary" plant + 1 Kelp Sac => 10 oxygen.
("planetary" plants = Star Bulb, Gamma Weed, Fungal Cluster, Solanium, Frost Crystal, Ecinocactus {I may have mis-spelled some plants})

In Medium or Large refiner:
2 Oxy + 1 Chlorine => 6 Chlorine.

Chlorine is the most valuable ordinary mineral. Keep enough to re-seed you refiners, sell the rest. Repeatedly. Once you are set up, should take about an hour or two to get your 132Mu.

Probably get the best consistant price by shooting it off in Trade Rockets.

Another way to make money fast:
Buy a bunch of Emergency maps.
On any planet with an atmosphere, preferably a crappy one, pop off 6 maps. There are 6 possible target site types, so you should get one of each.
If the pop up says there is already a site of that type in play, just keep popping the map til you get a different result.
Do not investigate ANY of the map sites except the Distress Beacons. If you do, it will clear the type of site and may it possible for it to be a map result again, which you do not want.
Investigate the Distress Beacons. These are for Crashed Ships.
There are two types of Distress Beacon sites. One is for distressed pilots; this is no good to you, just like the other 4 types of hits. You cannot recover ships from these.
The other type is for a true, abandoned, Crashed Ship. Claimable and salable.

To distinguish distressed pilots:
Fly to the Distress Beacon. Fly over the grounded ship several times, then land a good distance away, but in sight of the crashed ship. If you see a lifeform moving around the site, it is a distressed pilot site. Don't go down, don't go closer, don't talk to the pilot. Leave it, so that the active site prevents a similar result from subsequent maps.

Survey the other Distress Beacon. If there is no lifeform, and if there is a large, spherical Distress Beacon similar to the one at your original ship site, somewhere to the left rear of the crashed ship, that is a recoverable Crashed Ship.
Go down. Claim the ship.

Do not waste time or resources fixing the ship.

Now, fly to another planet.

Start popping Emergency maps. From now on each map should should give you a recoverable Crashed Ship site on your current planet.
Go to each one and claim it. When your ship array if full, fly to the Anomaly and summon each ship. This will restore the ships' Pulse Engines and Launch Thrusters.

For this large number of recovered ships, I would not repair anything else, but that is up to you. It would take a little time and quite a bit of resources, but the increase re-sale value of the ships will more than make up for the resources used. If you repair any ships further, only repair the Cargo sections. The tech slots do not increase the scrap value of the ship.

Fly to the Space Station. Scrap the recovered ships, and cash in the scrap. Each ship should be worth between 1.5M and about 15M units, depending on Type, Class, and the amount of clear/repaired Cargo slots.

Rinse and repeat until you accumulate 132Mu +.

You can also sell all of the minor items collected from the barrels and boxes on the crash sites, for small additional amounts.

BUT DON'T LEAVE THE SYSTEM !

a c class interceptor goes for about 20 million in salvage - do the quests so you have access to it - autophage quest line - you can gather 20 of the in very little time

You will want to salvage interceptors on dissonant planets for the high incomes.

Have you claimed a freighter yet? Each 12 hr mission gives you about $4-5 million, so that is $20 million per day.

You can also farm salvaged tech. They are buried everywhere and net around 50,000 each. Since you gather 2 - 4 at a time, you only need 6 damaged machines / debris to get a million.

Or land on a high sentinel planet to mine gravito balls or a stormy planet to harvest storm crystals. You can net a few million in a 10 minute run.

Too late :(

At least I have a ship that follow me with its little creepy eyes. It's s class and I thought it would be common but I still haven't seen another in my game. Looks like a fish.

And you say I can get the item to find them by killing sentinel ships in dissonant planets?

What's a freighter? Something I found working is using the radar system in the nautilus submarine to find crashed starships. But I still find it tedious and random.

Anyway, the ideas all of you are giving me are not so "alien", they are more or less where I was. So, there's no easy way to farm millions? I found people talking about farming something nuclear but I have no idea how to plant nuclear weapons. Or farming microchips or something along the lines.

After the 5th warp, a space battle ensues with about 6 pirates. If you defeat the pirates, the captain offers you their freighter. It repeats every 5th warp and 2 hour gameplay (it could be longer...I forget the exact number). You can send frigates on missions.

You probably heard about farming stasis devices. It takes a while to set it up. You need blueprints from factories and/or the anomaly. Then you need gas, terrain minerals (like cobalt), plants, and/or planetary Depot raiding. Once set up, each device nets 15 million. I personally find it tedious.

You can also set up a base on an exotic with a device survey unit. A mineral extractor and multiple storage devices let you collect gold, which is currently the highest paid mineral deposit.
You'll find the answer on crashed sentinel ships on dissonant planets. Even a C-class sentinel ships will gross you 14 million. You'll tire of scrapping these soon.
There are several ways to find the ship locations mentioned in previous posts. The main thing is to look for the systems in the Galaxy Map, and then the planet within the system from your space craft pointed at the planets.. A system that has a working space station and working economy with a dissonant planet is a money making BANK

he learned the best way to get echo locators is to go to a pirate controlled dissonant system. Once there make a base on a corrupted sentinel planet, for future farming. Then fly around and shoot with your ship any of the bug sentinel or dissonance resonators. You will get a lot of inverted mirrors and on occasion an echo locator.

It has to be pirate controlled or the space station will send interceptor ships.

The excess inverted mirrors can be turned into nanites.

--------
if you do on foot just run away after destroying the oil rig like thing.
on foot no problem with ships attacking.

if you walk up to the rig you can see if it has the echo locator and I did not get attacked.
best money maker for me is setting up farms for making stasis devices and/or fusion igniters. Takes a bit to setup the resources, including finding the gasses, but no money problems after processing a couple batches.
