In order to jump even with a crap ship (recommended) you have to find a reachable non purple system as even with purple drive you cannot for now complete the stellar multitude quest and then use the directionnal select mechanic and it works.
But... you could switch to normal game, jump to the coordinates of your abandoned mode game, then tale a look where that Atlas system is located at.
Galaxy layout is the same between game modes.
@zoran I may follow your suggestion and identify some Atlas stations near the bases of my abandonned mode save.
Thank you both !
Just tried that yesterday and I visited an Atlas station... but... it did not want to talk to me only option was leaving... I guess without having the Atlas quest somehow starting the Atlas stations do not trigger. Am I wrong? If so it'd be nice to have a way to start it even without Polo...
I triggered and completed the underwater storyline so at least it is available but... I had already all the blueprints and the water landing gear is not included in this quest sadly. So for now the only way to get that is some expedition and sending packed ones back.
I also tried the dangerous plants Nexus quest but the tomb did not trigger anything but that mission (no glyph, no upgrade no memory...). I reloaded and went back after the quest and tomb was unresponsive. So I guess I have to explore more to try to find at least another glyph. My #1 glyph helped me jump to calypso galaxy tho so I can go on galaxy surfing with that Abandonned PD save lol.
So, I got the glyph on my first abandoned mode playthrough via finding a traveler in a normal game, noted the planet and coordinate. But Smurfy's way sounds simpler, if you can get that mission from the Anomaly.
As far as having quest locks, I tried to make it to a purple system, got a purple drive from the expedition and got a path to a purple system at the center of the galaxy, but I was not allowed to make the jump. It seems all the purple resources and access to purple systems are not available. You can't bring purple resources back from the expedition either, only the jump drive and that does not function.
So yah, resources and purple systems seem to locked behind a quest flag.
