It was on the ship you used during the Expedition. Did you forget to store it in your suit and put in the transfer cubby so you could pick it up and install it your ship on the other side?

If you start the expedition as a brand new save from the game menu, everything you do in the expedition transfers to a normal save at the conclusion.

If you start the expedition from an existing save using the Expedition Terminus in the Anomaly, then what you can see depends on what you have unlocked on your primary save:

If you have completed In Stellar Multitudes, then you will immediately see (and be able to visit/edit) your Expedition base(s) and all the visited stations. I have tested and verified this.

If you had not completed In Stellar Multitudes, all content in Purple systems will still be inaccessible to you. The Expedition is NOT a shortcut to bypass the In Stellar Multitudes questline in an existing save.

If you complete In Stellar Multitudes AFTER completing the Expedition, then the hidden expedition base(s) and stations should be accessible to you. I am about to run EXP17 a 4th time with a save that has only just started They Who Returned so will know for sure in a couple of days whether that is the case.
Even if you copied the starship or just the drive tech back from the expedition and install it in your normal save, you will NOT be able to find purple systems until you complete In Stellar Multitudes.

In stellar multitudes grants you the alantid drive blueprint, I'm pretty sure. My main save character had that blueprint even before I started the expedition. Purple systems are part of worlds II update. They just happen to feature in the expedition too.

It's way more confusing than it should be. This question is asked constantly.
Where do I find the mission, In Stellar Multitudes? :)

You have to complete pre-requisite missions:
1) Artemis mission all the way through to the end of The Purge
2) Atlas Path
3) Autophage "They Who Returned" (which itself cannot be done until Artemis path completed and you have visited a Harmonic Camp on a dissonant system).
Might be the atlas path I've yet to finish :bbtraccoon:
Thanks for the heads up ^_^
I'm pretty sure I saw the atlantid drive blueprint for sale at the anomaly's starship blueprint store.

Smurfy wrote the prerequisites, but you need to activate your pulse drive in open space. It will start a space encounter with a thingy...
