Knowing ahead of time to grab mats for upcoming milestones, it can be completed in a few hours
If you progress ‘seriously’, or care about anything other than achieving milestones, or are not familiar with the mechanics of the expedition, it will probably take more than eight hours.
I casually completed the current expedition in about 10.5 game hours, which is perhaps long compared to most.
I get distracted sometimes, like to wander a bit but boy do I enjoy the journey.
Even if you don't grab materials, this is one of the easiest expeditions they ever released.
The only "hard" parts about it, are a little RNG at the beginning and trying to find a fishing hole on the gas giant, but then that's what community bases are for. The rest is stupidly simple stuff. Ten of the milestones are "Go to Rendezvous Point and take a photo", lol.
There's a player base for the sunken freighter, too. It's near one of the Rendezvous Points and it should show up in the anomaly.
