Phase 1 Expedition

Can you skip a phase step? Is there any way to skip the last step of phase 1 for taking a screenshot with the photo cam? That stupid in-game screenshot thing locks up and crashes my game EVERY time. The F12 thru steam works great for screenshots but doesn't count to complete the phase step of the expedition. For 2 days now I have been stalled on that step trying every fix I can find on searches for it.. nothing works. I would like to just skip this. Can it be flagged as completed somehow anywhere? This is driving me nuts and is one of the stupider bugs since it seems to have been around for YEARS yet NMS still requires this type of screenshot for Expeditions and missions to complete.

All milestones can be completed in any order you like, although some will rely on tech awarded by achieving a prior milestone. The photo milestones don't award anything that you necessarily need to complete any subsequent milestone so yes, you can definitely skip ahead and move onto next phase(s).

There is a way to modify your expedition configuration file (season_data_cache.JSON) to set those milestones to optional to allow you to claim each end of phase reward without completing them. You will need to set Steam to offline mode to prevent the game overwriting the configuration file every time it starts up. See this previous expedition bugfix topic for more info.

You'd need to do the same change for S2M8, S3M7, S4M7 and S5M7.

After an "update" my game reset my M8 in Rendezvous 4 and gave me M7 in Rendezvous 5. I had taken the R4 image and was given the award when this happened. The issue, I believe, is that the two systems have "disappeared" from the galaxy map so, I can't even make it to the systems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
