I have given so many animals so much animal pellets and collected so much faecium
yet still the Field Logistics milestone hasn't moved forward... at all...

Field Logistics = bake some bread in the nutrient processor.
You will need:
Heptaloid Wheat - harvestable on virtually every planet, even the starter Gas Giant
Faecium - obtainable in several ways: Animal droppings, refined Mordite (just kill a couple of animals), Damaged Machinery blockages may be Faecium.

I already did the heptaloid wheat (it only directed me to 1 of them before moving on to the faecium)
and I have over 600 faecium already.
It is still directing me to gather more faecium instead of making the bread in a nutrient processor.

The description says something along the lines of "gather faecium to make yeast".
You just have to put one faecium in the nutrient processor to get the yeast needed to continue the quest.

You really have to read in this game. You are collecting the faecium to make yeast in the processor. Once you get both the flour and the yeast, you make the bread in the processor.

You won't need 600, but you do need some more Faecium later to make 1 Lubricant for another milestone, so your efforts aren't entirely wasted.

But yeah, for this one, you only need to use 1.

If there is nothing that says to put faecium in a nutrient processor then it IS an issue.

The lack of specific direction at this juncture is a potential stumbling block, yes.

Grape skins, apparently. Though it's also found in the bark of oak trees... and certain wasps.

I have 600+ faecium and it still prompts me to gather faecium. Not to make the yeast. Some missions, which work properly, tell the player what the items they're gathering are for, but that is NOT telling the player to do it yet. This mission is like that, but it's broken and isn't prompting me to make the yeast.

If there is nothing that says to put faecium in a nutrient processor then it IS an issue.

PIN milestones, and you will get a detailed guide. In this case, it says to use faceium, then weat and then both resuts (yeast and flour) to make bread eventually. It's a step-by-step-guide and changes accordingly.

It does prompt me to make yeast, but only AFTER placing down a nutrient processor.
What have HG done with this mission???

Lubricant requires gamma root, not faecium.
