Quit Titan and start over?
I started Titan from the Space Anomaly and almost immediately made a rookie mistake that has me stuck. I want to start over, but going back to the nexus with return to primary only gives me the ability to resume where I left off, not quit. How can I simply quit to try again? I don't want to create a new character.

whats the rookie mistake? not all of them are as bad as people think.
I almost immediately fell into a cave, where I happily mined cobalt until my mining laser ran out of fuel. Then I discovered that the planet has zero plants, so no source of harvestable carbon. I can't fix my ship to lift off, and I can't explore far enough from it to find carbon. I'm only about 15 minutes in, so it seems easier to start over, but I can't figure out how to do that, as the Nexus present no options but "resume."
If someone joins you they could help you. Or you give yourself carbon with the save editor.
Or load a backup from before the expedition.

Punch (Q or R1) the carbon plants in the cave. You may also be able to punch the condensed carbon crystals, but I never tried to find out.

You're not at a dead end...
Here are two very simple solutions
1. melee the condensed carbon crystals scattered on the surface (only the large ones require the advanced mining beam)
2. reach your ship to get the refiner and refine oxygen into carbon.

Yup :steamthis: - engage "minecraft" mode and start punchin'
To start the expedition over just delete the save and start over.

OP started from the anomaly within a main save. I am sure OP was hoping to keep it.
good luck fellow traveller

Every planet has red O2 plants.

You were gifted a refiner just by reaching the ship.

Refine O2 into carbon.

If you don't have 1 single carbon, punch a plant.

Unfortunately, the option to restart an expedition started in this way - is unavailable.

You'll have to resort to one of those alternative methods.

Would be nice to allow "main save" expedition starts to be re-started. After all, if one starts an expedition from the game-menu, those can be easily "re-started" by deleting them. You're not stuck with a one-and-only save. Maybe someday we'll have it - but we don't yet.
