90 thousand units for an animal - how?
I've been searching and scanning for the second day, I've flown around 20 systems and 50 planets, scanned two or three hundred animals and still can't find anything more expensive than 28241.

I'm flying with my multi-tool from the main save, it has three X modules, the reward in each is more than 12 percent. I can't install other modules, so I don't know - is it just my bad luck or is there a problem with the game, the multi-tool or something else?

Can anyone at least tell me the name of the system where there are valuable animals?

One S fauna module. Modules that upgrade minerals and flora don't count. And maybe put it in the Superslot. But mostly look for those rare critters. I get over 500k for them on my main toon. 90k is easy peasy.

I figured out what the problem was.
I haven't needed money for a long time now and I've been picking up modules for the multi-tool with the maximum scanning radius, not paying attention to the rewards and what they were for.

And since the multi-tool and the ship are fully equipped, I usually deleted or sold all expedition modules of improvements, except for new technologies.
And now I only have one module C with a reward for scanning fauna.
Well, I'll have to fly around the stations, look for the necessary modules.
A couple of the missions on the expo give you the S class upgrades. No need to buy them.

Thank you very much for the information, I didn't know about a lot of it. I usually scanned all the fauna to get nanites, and didn't even think about the reward. I don't even know how to see the amount of the reward.

The last two days I scanned only rare animals, but probably without special fauna expansion modules it's pointless.

Thanks again for the information.

Max scanning radius is a scam. Never bother with it as your scan radius is finite and far enough even with minimal upgrade. Others may challenge that but I'm stickin to it. Your goal is the scanning X modules that are 10K each for flora, fauna and minerals, three of the little beauties and if you're really lucky some fairly nice scan radius added on for what it's worth. Landed pilot roulette or pirate SSs. You may not need those units but you can always use them to upgrade stuff or add slots to new ships on the cheap or if not cheap, use for units. All mini-games of your choice.

You probably got a S-class module on your multi-tool giving you bonus, i think you can stack up to three modules and get even alot more. Rare and Very Rares worth alot.

By a strange coincidence, among the three X modules I had only one with a reward for fauna, in the amount of 1.38% )
That's why I couldn't pass this stage and was very surprised that no one else had this problem.

Every expedition always tells something new, even if you play for a very long time. I am convinced of it.

Thanks everyone, I found two S-class modules with good rewards for fauna and on the nearest planet I passed this stage on the first try.

Thanks again to everyone for the tips.

Yeah that's not what expo means.

From what I remember when doing it, it was cumulative, scan this creature for 20k , this one for 35k, or whatever and sooner or later it added up to the 90k or whatever it wanted, or at least that was how it seemed to work for me, with no scanner upgrades at all.

""expo"" is short for "expedition" when people don't feel like writing all the letters out...

Some of us got old bad hands. 99% of people can understand expo for expedition. Or W2 for Worlds Part 2.

I also think Buff was a little unclear calling "Milestones" "Missions" in that particular sentence. If someone said missions in an expo to me, I think of stopping at the station to pick up as many "Kill x critters" for a suit upgrade as I can.

If I start a new save on an expo, I gather those missions from every station & then right at the end I find out which one has the biggest requirement, kill that many & cash them in all at once. I think the lowest I've ever gotten was an extra 14 suit upgrades. It usually more.
