Build Limit x 15 saves all full ? !
maybe clear your save files u can make another 15 saves slap down another 45,000 parts
If 15 save files isn't enough, then make backup copies of your saves and delete them from the game to make space for more... you can always swap them back in if you actually want to revisit an old base again

45k is less than 3 saves.

A full 15 saves would be 240,000 parts.

Their complaint is probably more about not being able to build a single base larger than 16k parts in a single save, not whether they can make multiple "smaller" ones in different saves.

Some people like to build really big or keep adding onto something "forever."
Dude, go play Minecraft or smth., idk, lol :D

I get that, but...

Plural bases made me assume otherwise.

Could be multiple bases - the type that likes to make a giant base on every "favorite" planet. Sure you can make separate saves but it's not the same thing as having them in a single save with one character.

It's like wanting all your favorite ships on a single save for your "main" to have/sue, vs. scattered between 15 saves.

thats a stupid reply.

He paid for NMS. not minecraft.
I am not a huge basebuilder in this game. But its a shame ppl who play it for creativity got limited. His PC performance should be the limit.

Could be.

I really think the numbers are irrelevant in this case - I think they really just wanted to complain.
Way.
You can remove the limit on PC.

You just need to edit the file: TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML

It is located in:
X:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\No Man's Sky\Binaries\SETTINGS
Or wherever you have steam saving your game.

Just change this entry to "true":
<Property name="RemoveBaseBuildingRestrictions" value="true" />
and add the entry below that one (it doesn't exist, so you need to add it):
<Property name="BaseBuildingLimit" value="200000" />
I changed mine to 200,000 in this example

Well, by my measure, that's what Steam foras (or most 'net fora these days) seem largely for. And then complaining about complainers. Then complaining about complainers complaining about complainers. :steammocking:

Occasionally there's some decent discussing/helpful going on but.

Anyway, I don't care about base limits myself but I can understand why some wish for much higher or even unlimited. I still suspect Steam's cloud-saves limits is part of that. If you want cloud saves, sava data can't grow too large.

I've seen that posted around, and also seen people say it doesn't actually work anymore and isn't even related, eg, controls something else. Dunno tho. Not going to try to build a giant 30k base to find out. :D

Right back at you, the feeling is mutual :)

If he paid for NMS he should be playing... NMS with all that it has to offer and everything it DOES NOT! What a silly idea, right?

The devs probably imposed the limit for good reasons. Otherwise we might've seen thousands of threads about bases disappearing/breaking/glitching/degrading performance/crashing the game/corrupting the save file/etc.

Big bases make for lag, loading issues and there are a million folks playing on really old potatoes and can't take the stress and folks are constantly pisssing and moaning about the game because they want that 486 to take them through to 2030. So there are limits which are reasonable. Their game, their rulez.

Building was scabbed on after the game launched and has been improved through the years but it ain't great, ain't ever going to be great. If it's a deal breaker just move on. It probably wont change now because from the looks of LNF trailer the building is going to be more voxel (think that's the term) based like Enshrouded building set up. Could be wrong but that's what it looked like to me.

Ranting on the forum might feel good but it's not going to get you anywhere; but contemplating the featured bases, a lot can be done within the allowed parameters. YMMV and no one can do anything about your expectations but - wait for it - you.
