Pixelated Textures?
Since the last update, my textures have become extremely pixelated as though the anisotropic filtering is no longer working. I've tried resetting my game settings to stock and this hasn't cleared it. Changing the texture filtering setting has no impact.

Here's a screenshot. Ignore the dull colors, that's just how HDR > SDR screenshots come out, not how the game looks. https://imgur.com/a/eQPS6j6

Windows 11, latest version. Hardware is Ryzen 7 5800X, 32GB RAM, Radeon 7900XTX 24GB with the latest drivers. Settings are all ultra. Any ideas?

Edit: Oh, Depth of Field seems broken as well. Any time a depth of field effect is used, the effect is just an opaque black void.

Anisotropy is for making the 'edges' of things smooth. This issue looks like a LOD (level of depth) issue...

Only thing I can suggest is to make sure your graphics drivers are updated, if not update them and see if that fixes it. This game REALLY likes up-to-date drivers.

Otherwise, just try to report it to HG's Zendesk and hopefully they'll figure it out...

I have this DoF turning black issue too on 7900XTX. Try reporting it in the AMD bug report tool too. Usually they're pretty slow to take on issues that have like 1 report, so more is better. Assuming of course that this is on AMD and not hello games, dunno. Maybe hello games can fix it too.

looks like it got stuck texture streaming lol, quite a old issue if it is
cant hurt to verify your game files since there have been a lot of big updates that couldve corrupted some files

AMD just release optional update to driver. After installing it so far the bug has not reproduced. will update if gate the same error again. https://www.amd.com/en/resources/support-articles/release-notes/RN-RAD-WIN-25-2-1.html

Latest optional driver hasn't fixed the issue for me.

you could try manually wiping the shader cache if that is the culprit of this issue (since installing new drivers tends to rebuild a shadercache for each game too so people usually tend to think the driver is the issue)

wipe every folder inside: \SteamLibrary\steamapps\shadercache\275850

Yeah, a manual clear hasn't helped. It's probably something Hello Games needs to fix on their end. I've reported the issues via their Zendesk, here's hoping they fix it soon.
