The very first planet, and RP3 both are Gas Giants.
yeah i have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea how to get back to any of the previous gas giants, that's part of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ problem, why send me to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ system with no gas giants while telling me THIS IS THE SYSTEM i need to build on...makes no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense
I'm pretty sure at least one of those systems had a space station.
Do you, like, not land on space stations?
Open the discoveries tab, look at purple stars (since Gas Giants can ONLY be found in purple systems) and find the one with the gas giant. Note the name of the system.
Then go to a teleporter, find that system, and zoop. There you are.
To return, go back to the Teleporter and go to one marked "Previous System".
But, let's say you're not able to do that for whatever reason... ok, fine, open the galaxy map, look for purple stars, and keep mousing over them until you see one that specifically says it's a Gas Giant. It'll say that where it tells you if it's a Water or Dissonant system.
EDIT: Also, I think it showed you a system that didn't have a gas giant because it's pathing you TO a gas giant and you can't jump that far in one jump.
Or, if you stop at the space station look for that space station in the transporter list. It should be near the top
Or, look I the teleporter list for a player base in a gas giant.
Or just look on the galaxy map for purple system that has "gas giant" in its description.
i had gone to the anomaly to use that teleporter but it was a waste of time as I could not locate any of the previous systems why would the space station be any different, their ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ teleport system is trash really
absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ useless because NONE OF THE PURPLE systems i've been to show up ON ANY list the teleporter has to offer me, not a single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ one and the guidence keeps sending me to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ systems that have nothing in ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ common with the acheivement im trying to do....now i'm on the fish on a gas giant one and it sent me to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ system AGAIN with zero gas giants

Let this be a lesson for you in the future: Always land on the space station if one is there, because otherwise you can't warp to it. The reason why stuff isn't showing up in your teleport list is because you didn't land on the stations in those systems (or if the system doesn't have a station).
And again, since you seem to have ignored what I said, it is trying to path you to a gas giant but you can't get there in one jump. Keep jumping until you get to the Gas Giant, making sure to follow the Mission Path and making sure that Milestone is set as your Current Mission in the LOG tab.
the misson path is not sending me to planets that have anything to do with the part of the expedition I'm on and the game doesn't ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tell you anywhere at any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time that if you land on space station you can then warp them later. i do not bother with space station in expeditions unless they have something I might need
just the fact that the mission path isn't even take me where i actually need to go is the biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ issue with this stupid expedition to begin with

When you jump to a system and it doesn't have a Gas Giant...
Open your Galaxy Map and jump to the next system.
And keep doing that until you find the Gas Giant.
It is trying to path you to a Gas Giant, but the nearest one is too far for your hyperdrive. that's why the galaxy map is leading you to systems that have no Gas Giants.
It works exactly like the path to the rendezvous points.
EDIT: You can also right click in the Galaxy Map and free-look around and you will eventually see the mission icon if you look around. You'll see a dotted green line pointing to it and you'll see how many jumps it will take to get there.
This is assuming that you have the milestone that wants it set as your current mission and the path in the Galaxy Map UI set to current mission as well.
no, its not because I can't reach where the expedition is taking me, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing is sending me to systems that have nothing to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ do with the quest and telling me that is where i need to do whatever the quest says to do
Only two of the four solution above require a teleporter. People are trying to help you and you are being unnecessarily rude. Do you want help, or just screen at the internet?
Go to your discovery tab. Go through the resent system until you find the starting system. use middle mouse button to select system as custom waypoint. Go to the galaxy map, right arrow to choose custom waypoint. Then follow the line.

Open the galaxy map, choose free explore, click on purple systems until you find a gas giant. They are semi rare so you might have to go several 100 lys to find one. You should be too far from the last expedition rendezvous point with a gas giant.

The milestone requires certain parts to be build. Go back to your base, make the mile stone your active mission and check the prompt in the lower right.
If I recall correctly you need;
3 wooden floor panels
6 wood wall panels
3 wooden roof sections
Note: these items must be the default pieces, not any of the variants
Solid Line shows the path you can take at maximum in one jump, dotted broken line shows where you'll have to make another jump to continue on.
Since it sounds like you didn't stop at ANY of the space stations, I recommend using the Anomaly teleporter & tagging the Various Bases that show up.
EVERYONE has to make A base on A Gas Giant & EVERYONE goes to the Anomaly sooner or later in the Expo, so hang around, keep trying the Anomaly, refresh it until you get put onto A version that has people on it that have set up A Base on one.
Given A few hours if you'd like I could even give Coords to the Starter Gas Giant I set my Base up on.
At work currently & won't be done for another 3 hours roughly, but it'll at least get yet foot back in the door to wrap this up.
Trust man I get the frustration, I really do! but it's A strong mind that can accept & bring that frustration to heel & instead turn it to determination to NOT be overcome by A pile of Pixelated irritation.
Can't tell you how many Mario's I willingly threw off of cliff edges in my time, good thing those pits are bottomless or it'd be full of turtle shells & Mario Bones.
