If you do this at the waterline level (so half your room is above water and half is below water) the game will continually think your character is splashing in/out of the surface of the water even though you are inside a closed base structure.
Completely broken.
There are lots of similar bugs like this that just ruin the entire underwater base building aspect.
Considering all the effort put into the recent ocean and aquatic environment overhauls, it’s such a shame they leave this aspect rather broken as a lot of new players will be drawn to these new updates underwater only to find a very buggy base building experience when they give it a go.
And don’t even get me started about bases underground and terrain regrowth. It’s been talked about to death, everyone experiences it and yet it has never been fixed.
These bugs have existed for YEARS now and it’s clear they just don’t care enough to fix them for players who love base building.
And yes I have submitted multiple bug reports to Hello Games over the years but it just gets ignored. I submitted these bugs AGAIN last week just to let them know they STILL haven’t fixed it.
It’s not even like base building is a small side activity in the game it’s a MAJOR MAJOR focus and appeal of the game with players posting their bases on Reddit literally all the time. It just blows my mind that they continue to ignore such obvious and easy to replicate bugs with the core base building aspect of the game.
Hello Games, if you happen to read this please fix these bugs for your base building players.
Before you could grab an item, mousewheel to adjust its stack size to split the stack but now, using the mousewheel just scrolls the scrollbar on your inventory if there is one and will not modify the stack size of what you're holding with the mouse cursor.
It's quite annoying if you want to use the Personal Refiner and put a specific amount of something in there (IE, you want 10 Na+ and so you want to put 20 Na in there). You can hit ctrl to keep cutting the stack in half, but you can't mousewheel back up to 20 unless you do it from inside the Refiner UI.
EDIT: Also, tornadoes go through bases on Gas Giants. I had a fun time being thrown around in a 2x2 square room after I built my base there as per the Expedition Milestone.
Have a good game everyone!

...all good things and I thank You for the work, BUT... ...there are serious and important bugs that can no longer wait and are MUCH more important than the ongoing mission.
I am sorry.
(water buggy on moons, water entering bases underwater, wrong collisions with bases wall, sentries and waves not working etc etc.)
