Hopping from Expedition to Survival

Hello everyone, I have a small question. I wanted to start a Survival save, and with the new Expedition around, I thought of starting right from the expedition for those sweet sweet bonuses... but then I remembered that when you finish an expedition, your save is converted to 'normal' mode.

Is there a way to, when you finish an expedition, you hop into survival mode? I know that you can hop from any save into an expedition, but then you lose several of the really good rewards such as all hyeroglyphs and so on.

I just looked on an Expedition site that I use and there is a Gamemode option to select Survival. I am pretty sure that you have to play it offline mode till you are finished.

Aw, but isn't there anything in the game itself? Like a difficulty selector?

You can use the challenge sliders to get a survival like Custom Save. It does not count as Survival for the achievements AFAIK. If you just like playing in survival mode, mess with the challenge options.

Personally, I enjoyed having a lot of things hard but keeping my save if I die and having normal slot volumes. Fiddling with slots all the time is not my idea of the challenge I want.
