Are there rare planets?
Given that everything is procedural and there are so many different outcomes, are there any planet types that would be considered a rare find? I've been on several hex, blade, etc planets, what's a really special find?

Not really any particularly rare 'type" but there are rare sub-types. Chameleon planets[nomanssky.fandom.com] are probably one of the rarest finds, at least in my own entirely anecdotal experience.

Any given specific mega-exotic[nomanssky.fandom.com] planet is also relatively rare, though mega-exotics as a whole aren't all that rare.

There are no planets that I'd consider rare and I've been to tens of thousands of star systems. Megaflora planets seem less frequent than other types, at least in the yellow star systems. And there are 11 different types of exotic planets so any particular exotic may be seen less frequently. But in my experience, planet distribution is fairly regular, just subject to the usual RNG. I guess a planet that resembles Earth could be considered rare. : )

YES, if you look long enough you will find where 2 planets are colliding, or already smashed into each other. This is probably the rarest thing you will see and you WILL see it if you look long enough! Jagged and Amber do you agree?

Has anyone found a planet with Earth's Atmosphere Mix? All the planets atmosphere seem to lack oxygen. Of course I could have seen one and passed by.

Due to the procedural nature I don't think you will find Earth. There are plenty of places with blue sky and even blue water, and even green grass, tho I have not seen all that in one place and have green trees too, almost always one of those will be an odd color.

Didn't even think of those. I would definitely agree....I've got ~3,000 hours of playtime and have yet to ever see it in my explorations, only when other players post pics.

It sort of depends on how you define rare. I have seen some very odd features on planets like a gigantic cave system or one where very almost all the critters were highly unusual types.

I think some of the oddball effects like planets touching or where the chroma is super messed up are interesting...although the chroma effects can make exploring super annoying since you can't see squat in the dark and it is not much better in the daylight.

The most rare thing I ever ran into was a player base that had gotten buried and broke into pieces during a reset (or maybe the player just went nuts with a terrain tool). In any case, it was fun excavating it to get a sense of what it must have looked like before it got crunched out. Unfortunately, did not take any photos or videos, but it was definitely the most unique thing I ever saw.

Look like oxygen runs out on every planet I've been. On those Earth-like, paradise etc. it goes very very slow.

Same, never seen that.

No a planet but kinda rare also. Seen it two, three times. Called a base "Port Twin Stars". Only a graphic effect, wonder if it do something with the planets in those systems? Possible in real Universe.

And a code for one of planets in those systems (Euclid). About 20000 LY from gal centre if someone need a shortcut.

I have never seen any true analogies of the rocky planets we have in our solar system. You can get close, for example there are dead planets with no atmosphere, but I haven't found a scorched one like Mercury. For the others, and this is since the worlds 1 update:

Venus: plenty of boiling hell's with thick atmospheres, but never found one with no life at all.
Earth: no worlds, with green grass, trees, no crazy weather or overly strange life.
Mars: lots of desert worlds, no red planets with no life.
Pluto: lots of ice worlds, but no lifeless ones without seas.

For the various moons:

IO: lots of volcanic worlds, I did stumble on one with almost no life, but have never been able to re-find it. Have never found a volcanic dead world with no atmosphere.
Icy moons (Europa etc) - see Pluto
Titan: I've come close a few times, but NMS has a lot of life on ice worlds.

So if they are out there they are super rare.

Planets with white grass
Planets with dinosaurs
Planets with Blue Water, Blue Sky
Planets with Floating islands with waterfalls,
Planets with all the grass and trees having a light effect at night

Planets with some of this ^ from the list + no bad weather and no sentinels

Hard to say. When it comes to rarity, I think planets that have extreme landscapes.
not gonna lie die hard space sim fan an would like to see much more versatility.. even unique alyum species that's super duper rare {barely anyone sees them} an id like to find custom craft that's unique to the player with much more ship slots, like 32 ships., Worlds need to be far wider range an majority of systems should have dead planets an a few living entities, space stations should be limited which would make it hard to find that old place an much more immersive, ie custom base in lost system. Creatures need a over haul absolutely., more sounds more patterns more rarities. Special generalise unique finds, more slots, greater frigate expansions, More races in other systems,. new enemies. more tech, more creative build tools, more craftsmenships, you put ship parts in an made no way to build it from scratch, royal line needs more craft, would love a royal hauler.,./

por contra yo he encontrado sistemas con 6 planetas y carentes de fauna
