i didnt even catch the second emoji tweet he did, its a globe spinning in a circle when you put all them together in a row, its def LNF
True. And we also have not seen any sales yet. Usually we get a sake and an update to the internal (testing) branch before the emoji drops, but this isn't always the case.
I think at the earliest we will see the update on Wednesday, but it could be sometime next week. An emoji has dropped a week or two before the update at least once.
ive been convinced now its LNF but this is also true, especially if its a significant update (which if its proc-gen oriented, it could be the 'largest' update weve ever seen for the game, itd make sense to generate hype as much as possible before it launches (and to test test test before it does)
I'm all for combat updates, such as boss fights! However...
At this point in time, I think NMS needs more of planet's updates, biome overhaul more than anything else. Been longing for two years to see some new planetary assets to explore. Such as flora and fauna, ancient artifacts, buildings, landscape, you name it.
I save the hope, despite the data mined, there will be something of that in it.
I suppose it could be, or at least I hope, different biomes on the same planet, with different temperatures, soil, creatures and plants conditions. That wouldn't be bad, that would make exploration less tedious, more rewarding and way less boring.
Cheers to all pals and gals of this community.
If they do multi biome planets they will also need to increase biome assets by at least 2x or it will still be "same-y". The update required to make that work would be several times larger that Origins.
*this isn't real
Might be significant. Or, maybe not.
The three different earth emoji's can be plausibly explained as Hello Games avoiding negative feedback from peeps "offended" that "only" the America's were displayed (in the original emoji - so they put up all of the three of the "Earth" emoji's in order to cover "the entire world" instead.
Maybe. Maybe not. But plausible enough IMO to show that there is perhaps no "special" significance" to that fact there there are three different Earth emojji's now.
(That might come across as more cynical than intended; but I'm a poor wordsmith. :)
Usually when emojis drop you can expect a NMS update within a few days of the third day of emoji posting, sometimes same day, no more than like 3 days after tho
considering there is:
A Hello Game twitter
A NMS twitter
i'm sure there will be a LNF twitter to be unreleased and rain terror down upon us with more emojis when the game goes live
Usually, but not always. There have been one or two cases where it didn't drop for two weeks.
Usually we see a sale first, then updates to the internal branch, then the emoji. But so far no sale or internal update. Also there is a small chance that this is Light No Fire related.
