I tested this in my game by hunting ships on Creative difficulty, just to see if you could. And you can. I made a thread about it a few days ago.
Note, however, that even when a planet says Sentinels: None, things which are specifically guarded will still have sentinel guards. Like those things that drop the inverted mirrors.
If you want the sentinels to actually show up, than increase your difficulty setting for "on Foot Combat". At the highest setting, there is no such thing as a planet with Sentinels: None
Not sure if this is intentional or just a bug/ glitch etc.
And it does have harmonic camps and crashed interceptors.
So the strangeness continues.
I think you just misinterpreted what I said. What I meant is that the "probability" of a No-sentinel planet is 0 on the highest difficulty. As in, in the game file that sets the procgen probabilities.
Anything that overrides the probabilities is not what I was talking about. Sort of like how a planet that has "Sentinels: None" will still actually have them in all specifically scripted cases (such as guarding the Dissonance Resonators, as I mentioned above).
I have one planet, It has 6 camps, and 1 crash site. (which now loads blanks since I finally took it and sold it) and game keeps sending me here...
Had another planet, only seemed to have 1 camp, but had multiply crash sites.
I wrote its location down just to double check. No matter were I'am withing that Planet/System I get sent to that camp.
I had to go a good 9000+ LY away to find another one.
First attempt I didn't understand what was going on with the brains and converting them etc, then the mission autoswitched so the markers disappeared (didn't realise this so I thought it was broken). I decided to try over again so I abandoned the quest and deleted the brain from inventory. Went through the sequence again, it sent me back to the same ship but I now have no brain to convert. Found a second ship and tried again, the first sentinel salvage mission somehow came back, and the second one glitched. Abandoned both iterations and ragequit the game.
Tried again today, it immediately sent me back to the first ship from the attempt the previous night, which again is missing the brain. Abandoned the mission again and flew across the planet and tried again. Somehow it finally worked on the 4th or 5th attempt, got my ship, tool and jetpack. That was one of the most janky missions i've ever played in a game lol.
