Best Place to Sell Gravitino Balls
Red star? Blue star? Green star? Yellow star?
Trading economy? Advance Materials economy? Scientific Economy? Technology economy? Mining economy? Manufacturing economy? Power economy?

Where's the best place to sell it with the highest price?

It varies from system to system and trade post to trade post, it's on you to keep track of where gives you the best rates...
They are not worth all that much compared to trade items anyway, so as long as the rate isn't negative, it really doesn't matter...

Early in Game? Can you get to the Anomaly? Do you have nanites?

If yes to all, then go visit the NPC ExoSuit vendor and buy a "Trade Rocket".
It has a bunch of Slots and can be summoned to your location to pile Gav Balls or any junk plugging up slots in your suit to be magically traded. Summon another immediately after launching to keep selling or moving item out of you suit.

Trade Rocket

Load Items for Auto-Trade

A personal rocketry device with a direct link to the Galactic Trade Network.

This unit allows the user to load a small spacecraft with goods.

Upon launch, the goods will be transported to the nearest trade terminus and automatically sold.

Summon the Trade Rocket using the QUICK MENU.

yeah, trade rocket is handy, you get the base price for the sold item, rather than a +/- %, so it's not the best rate going, but it's consistent

Gravitino Balls lost their value way back in the NEXT update in 2018. Before then, they were highly sought after as a crafting resource for several high-end upgrades for exosuit and starship. The Sentinel response is a hangover that was never removed when their usefulness was removed. They were never really a viable trade commodity.
Even if you could find somewhere offering 200% returns on Grav balls (I'm sure you can't, this is hyperbole for effect), you're still only making 80K per ball. There are many items that are much easier to get with much higher value.

I agree, but early game (when units are still scarce) it's great to disable the sentinels on a planet with lots of gravitino balls lying around. You can then harvest hundreds rapidly, with no risk and no cost, and make millions using the trade rocket.

Get a sentinel ship. You can do that fairly early. Go to a pirate system controlled by the race of your choice. I pick Vykeen. Blow up all the transports and cargo pods. Sell all the items you get from them at a station that isn't pirate. Make lots of money.

I agree, this is a much better method than grav balls... you get both units and nanites as well as ship expansion modules

They're not worth enough to worry about it.
Nimsosim Aug 19, 2024 @ 5:46am
I agree they aren't worth enough to bother with.
Isn't that true about all of the growing and production ?
I have a farm of 200 gravito planted and I have no reason to harvest it.
While it can provide you with income just by harvesting so you dont have to go anywhere.
the value of salvaging ships and destroying cargo is much much greater.

Yeah, even the trade items you can make aren't really worth the time/effort it takes to make them...
you're better off scrapping interceptors

Thanks,
Personally I really which they would tune the balance here a little.
So much potential with the farming and production.
I was well on my way to having a set of production bases when I figured out I can scrap interceptors and make enough money that way.
No big deal, only now my farms and my gas factories just sit there. Feels like a waste of potential.

yeah, I haven't harvested crops in ages now... seems redundant for the most part.
I think most players are in agreement that the whole economy needs to be reworked... hopefully they address it at some point soon...

I got one idea. A multi-tool factory. They need the goods, in return you build faction standing and earn the right to better and better multi-tools and upgrades.

A stasis device farm is worth it i'd say. 10 SD per harvest means 160+ million units with less than 5 minutes of crafting & harvesting effort, and you can do the crafting on the spaceship while flying places.

Sure, it's a bit of effort to set up, but you only have to do it once. After that it's a low effort money printer.

Grav balls just aren't worth a lot and can't be crafted into anything more valuable.
Nimsosim Aug 19, 2024 @ 6:26am
Yea! I got a small setup for building the high end devices. Although I'm building the other one currently not the stasis but the other one with the same value. I can generate around 200 million in about 30 minutes. But just as you said. The setup isn't great, as far as click click click click. Couldn't get much more boring and the weird menu they use to select the items for crafting your constantly scrolling. Would be cool to get a production machine that can take the raw materials and do the clicking for us like a refiner except a manufacturer.
