Are liquidator parts better than the laylaps parts?
I'm re-playing the game on my last expedition save and it has all the new minotaur parts. I got a settlement so I'm getting pop-ups for the laylaps quest now. Its been a while but I think it gives you some blue minotaur parts. Are those better or sub par to the new liquidator parts? I don't think there's a way to see these types of stats.

The information in the catalogue for the all the minotaur parts (including the new ones) give an explanation of what they do and the stats and the resources needed to craft them. They are blue prints after all. There seem to be no difference to the armours apart from the Flamethrower arm addition. I've not tried it yet but hoping you can mix and match parts from different sets, a bit like with other upgrades. : D

I like the look of the original design of the minotaur suit and its cockpit and wish that could be the visible cosmetic, instead of the Blue Laylaps one or the Liquidators but with the functions of the upgrades. The oval cockpit looks awesome. Maybe something similar to the character changer deivice could be adapted and added to the Geobay station for the mech.

so with liquidators I get the flame thrower but don't get that with laylaps. I guess I'll do the quest and then after put back on the liquidator parts, thanks for the info

Each set has a secondary and a main weapon type they swap arms however meaning, the two sets are incompatible if you want to keep their design synergies.

What they both bring is a more armoured torso with AI making it harder for enemies to shut down the mech in combat.

see the above caveat about how the weapons pair off
The A-class hardframe legs and B-class Liquidator legs both are engine upgrades, and the get the adjacency bonus. I kept both hardframe arms and added both Liquidator arms, though one is redundant. I stored the hardframe body and AI pilot into the exomech cargo and installed the Liquidator body, as only one AI unit is needed.

The experimental version of NMS applies your paint colors to the Liquidator parts, but this is not yet in the regular version of the game. I expect that this will be fixed soon.

Personally I've install both sets of legs and both body/AI, for redundancy and am using the sentinel arms because I like to have laser upgrades installed and there isn't space for those and the flamethrower upgrades too.

With both legs and body installed the appearance shows the liquidator ones, so the arms don't match, but I don't really care about that.

i combined the two sets. The specs for everything are identical. So now I get almost twice height and speed jumping. Also you can change the colors on the new liquidator parts.

No they're the exact same except for the left arm
