What does the 3 bullets icon on the galaxy map mean?
I tried to find this in google but did not have luck. What does it mean?

It's the new 'frigate expedition' marker. Why it looks like three humongous freighters is anyone's guess.

new frigate expedition? What does that mean? Is that just the icon for frigates that you can recruit or is it something else?

When you send your frigates out on missions, that's where they are. The icon was changed to differentiate it from the one telling you where your freighter is.

Oh wow, i didn't know they really went anywhere. I just it was make-believe. That's really cool

They do go places. :) In the lower right, you'll get an announcement that says something like "Fleet has entered 'X' system..." Personally, I've never been sure if they're actually there and I'd see them if I warped there, but I never bothered to check, and I don't know how you'd find them in the system if you did go there, unless they'd be marked somehow. But whatever the case, since the Orbital update, frigates can also run into trouble wherever they are and you can go and actively help them out. I think that's why the icon was changed.

They are actually there. Kind of cool. My understanding is now you may actually get a call to go help them if they have problems on a mission.

I was surprised when I found this out too. Make the game feel more realistic. I wonder if you can look over the debriefs again? Sometimes they mention something interesting that I want to go check out. :steamhappy:

Bullets is a good description and I too was wondering what it was. Saw it a week ago doing a redux of an exposition, and keep going to the system and looking at the log..

Never figured it out in the expo and made it back to my main save where I have chit tons of frigates out on mission and POW!, it dawned on me they changed the icon.

@Trip~ agree! back when I use to read the mission logs for hints "especially when about 'escort' some custom fighter" I'd want to go hunting that system for the exotic they alluded too.

Guilty of sending frigates out on mission (one's with Red - buffs), just so they would call me to come fix them. Back then, before Oribital?; the icons were just of what appeared to be a starship, freighter in some mission rando system, now, HG has introduced stray "Temporal Blackhole" callin's from your frigate captain to come visit. Accept mission and a black hole appears. I haven't been able or received a call yet from a frigate in a week now with the 4.63 experimental branch, even sent out a -3 buff industrial frigate.

I'm not sure if they are and I don't have time to go look in-game, but if they are re-readable, I imagine they might be somewhere in the "Catalogue & Guide" tab when you press the Esc key. I know you can look at the dialogs from crashed freighters and the logs you read in abandoned buildings there, at least.
I received a call from one of my fleets that they wanted to show me something special. So I agreed and I was transported to the system where that fleet was, and I was parked next to a black hole. The communication ended and the fleet went on to their next assignment.

It is nice to see a separate indicator of where the fleets are on the galaxy map.

This happened to me and it was my first time going through a black hole. It was crazy, because I came through, there was a pirate attack. No idea what I was doing. Notifications about shooting something on bottom of enemy freighter... ...lost the battle. Ended up a whole system away from the black hole. No idea how.
