How do you fix tab menu ship stats hiding?

Hi, so, its a common procedure to be in the tab-ship menu and moving tech around to best effect, and it has the stat display on the right that changes as you go along so you know whats improving or getting worse.

I occasionally encounter two problems with the stat display screen;

1) Stats being completely missing, like, why??
2) Stats that fail to change, even if you removed all the mods, like why???

Any fixes to above problems?

Turns out reloading fixes it.... but, that often won't be an option if your trying to keep a save point from before you buy/upgrade a ship, since you might realize the ship just isn't good enough after playing around with the module positioning.... but you won't know that if the game is hiding the stats from you because it wants you to reload!

Did you glance at the multi-tool tab by any chance? Try bringing up the options menu.

No need to reload - just opening and closing the menu seems to do the trick.
