Can't Bait Hook? Here is the fix.

So I figured out the hook baiting issue with a little Reddit help. It seems that if you ever used mods your save file [could] get damaged and break this. Damaged is maybe a strong word but it certainly pissed off this expedition.

Problem: Can't bait hook! Click hook, get inventory like usual but cant place bait on hook. Bummer!

Solution: Not gonna like this. Remove all mods. Verify files. And.... make a new expedition save. Just removing mods and verifying *did not* fix it, at least for me and the slew of folks on Reddit. Had to make a new save. Just tested and ya... it works.

So... if you really want to do expedition this time, that's what you have to do.

Bonus info: Mods also broke the message in a bottle for me until i removed them and verified files at which point they actually produced the messages they are supposed to. Keep that one in the back pocket if you need it. I also was not getting credit for releasing fish so really overall ya... mods + this expedition = pain.


Not great... and the fix sucks... but hopefully this helps someone.
