Any mod or way to remove UI menu animations?
Clicking on things is so slow and sluggish. Too much wait time before you can interact with the next menu you're trying to access. Any way to change that?

This doesn't sound like NMS. Do you have a screenshot of one of these screens with the animations?

Almost every screen in the game either fades in or fades out, then slides and I have to wait for it to fade in to be able to click on anything in the inventory - because until then items don't appear.

I don't see that. Are you in VR?

No. Basic menu navigation between inventories for example. I want it to change to the inventory I clicked on instantly instead of having the fade out/fade in thing.

Can you show me a recording of it?
Am I missing some settings somewhere I could change that?

I use several menus in this video:

Yeah it's not instant. You also have it. Around 1:26 you switch from Multi-tool menu to ExoCraft.

It fades out menu, slides it, then fades in.

Weird. I never think about it. It happens pretty fast. I doubt there's any mod to change that transition.

Yeah I'm likely an edge case where I like things to respond as quickly as possible.

Quite unfortunate.

I also like things to respond as quickly as possible. I use quite a few mods that shorten the annoying, artificial delays in the game; Much faster hold to interact, much faster teleport transitions, much faster toast messages, elimination of the area scan zoom-out, etc.

I do not think I've seen a mod that removes those animations you are asking about though, or if there are...I'm not bothered enough by them to have chosen to use the mod.
I suspect it's not even possible to mod it. Much of the UI is not accessible for modding for NMS.

Inventory tabs are not instant and also drop FPS every time you switch tabs. If you switch rapidely it looks gross. It's a terrible design choice. Note that freighter additional storage rooms are not affected, you can switch as fast as you want. I have no idea why every inventory tab is not like that. Literally dumb.

I can already anticipate the reactions : "I don't have performance/fps issues with the inventory" - "I prefer lagfest inventory swap because my brain can't handle instant swap" - "You need better hardware to process NMS inventory"

Get real guys, NMS inventory is a total piece of crap

Why exactly are you acting like it's unreasonable for people who don't have performance issues to say so? My inventory FPS matches the FPS of the rest of the game; if the game isn't slowed down, neither is my inventory. Clearly your experience with the inventory is not universal. And no, it's not because my computer is such a beefy rig that it powers through issues; I'm running an 8-and-a-half-year-old GPU and a 6-year-old CPU. The fact that NMS still runs as well as it does without me having to run minimum graphics settings is downright impressive.

You keep pooping on this game at every opportunity, there are negative posts from you in almost every thread, you seem to hate everything about NMS. Why are you even still here?

Your inventory runs like the rest of the game because your game runs like crap in general
