OR if I do have wingmen, just keep flying around, recharging shields as necessary and keep on keeping on - until I get bored and back to plan A.
I'm a notoriously short tempered SOB though ;)
1 The icon/marker for the Resonator stays around long after it has been destroyed, like minutes… way too long
2 They can be underground which can make it a challenge to track
Very odd indeed
Some of the planets have sparse populations of resonators and the terrain make it hard to spot them.
I found that using the F scan NORMAL mode works better than the directional scan if on foot. But I fly slow in first person and watch the top of the screen for the marker as well as the visual.
They may even be easier to spot on darker sides of planets. If using a creature switch to first person while riding and you can continue to scan with the visor. The interceptor ships boost can be quite violent and shoot past a landing spot but they can also hover which is great for attacking groups of the drills once you find a cluster.
Inverted mirrors might also be found in bulk, (batches of 10) in scattered salvage spots of corrupt sentinel autophages on dissonant planets or at dissonant camps. As the game is procedural many things can be found in odd unexpected places and maybe even rewards for Nexus missions, pirate system missions and higher ranked missions.
