Spaceship color change?

I had a fighter that was a beautiful deep blue color (at spacestation and on planet) that I named Cobalt. Now it's multicolored, white with blue wings and teal top. It looks drab, so I'm disappointed to say the least. All that work to find the perfect ship for nothing.
Anyone else have this happen? My explorer changed also, but it doesn't look so bad.

If you ever use the save editor, or the NMS companion app, make sure you do not have it checked to "use legacy colors". I've had that happen to my ships when I moved around what slots they were in with the save editor.

Other than that, I have never had a ship change colors, so that's the only help I can offer.

The star color sometimes has an enormous effect on ship colors, both spaceships and freighters. And is really extreme on living ships but the absolute worst can be on the anomaly. Colors seem better now than a year ago but you can still get really screwed, or feel like it anyway. It's still pretty obvious with the new interceptors and the deep purple color that sometimes looks bronze, or purple, deep green or reddish maroon. Crazymaking.
As for colors actually changing, not had that happen.

Pretty sure the Sentinel ship from rendezvous 4 (dragonfly style) got a lot more blue especially the tank style feet (light blue) & yes at the space station

I hadn't touched it with save editor, so that can't be it, it must have changed with one of the updates, I admit I hadn't played that save in a while, so who knows which update. It got me thinking though, maybe I could see if there's a mod or something you could do with save editor to fix it. I also noticed one of my pets changed. It was a big sturdy T-rex with long tusks, it changed to a skinny raptor with feathers, zebra stripes, long fingers, and half the size. Plus when I tried to ride it, it went so slow it was unbearable. It's pretty obvious NMS made some changes and in my opinion not for the better.
