Report a translation problem
Doing it does not make you a pirate. There aren't any steps in the mission chain that require any acts of piracy, and at the very end, you actually get the option to side with or against the pirates.
And, the decision at the end doesn't actually affect anything in the game. Doing the mission chain accomplishes only 2 things. 1. It gets it out of your mission log, and 2. It unlocks another head option for you at the appearance modifier. That's it.
