Empty Nexus

Anyone else seeing an empty nexus? I've returned after a year hiatus, came in to try and do missions no one is here. I've verified my game, im on multiplayer mode with it enabled also. I disabled and re enabled that and the other settings. Tried jumping to a different system. Restarting game, verifying cache, what am I missing?

Are you doing the expedition? or normal, cause it's kinda empty in normal mode atm.

There's also still a lot of multiplayer bugs, so there's that.

Sometimes, after certain updates, antivirus may give false positive for NMS, thus, preventing you from any MP interactions. This happens from time to time in my case. I just re-add NMS to exclusion. Who knows, maybe you have the same issue.

If you have a VPN turned on while playing, you won't see anyone in the Anomaly.

do you know why by chance? just wondering why vpn screws some of my games like this one =(

I'm no techie, so I can only guess. One possibility that would make sense to me is that you being "attached" to a virtual/proxy server might interfere with the necessary communication with the game server in some way. An analogous situation might be trying to talk to someone through a wall. But, like I said, not a techie, so I could be totally wrong.

nah i appreciate all replies, no vpn, still not seeing anyone, just confused at this point, all the same issue threads seem to be years old.

Here are few more ideas.
1) Provider. I had rare issues with few other games, that either didn't allow me to connect, or launched mp game without any other players. Since I have few providers, switching between them solved the issue.
2) Modem. If you have some really old model, this may be an issue as well. Been there.

Came here to say thanks. Nexus was empty, couldn't figure out why then saw your post. I know enough about tech that its very weird to me that it works out that way cause like the nexus was only empty when i got out of my ship. taking off or landing i saw everyone.

but regardless you helped me out and I appreciate it!
